The one main issue you have here is that there's no force to the kick
at all

For something animated to have a level of force to it, it needs to travel quickly, right?
So the best way to do this is to have the legs fully extended in the least amount of frames possible. Two frames is optimal for this. Then all you need to do is add some motion blur to fully represent the fast, forceful "kick" of the attack. Of course, you need to get rid of the motion blur in the next frame, but do not extend the legs further in the third frame. There needs to be a level of recoil after the kick.

Once you get that down, just close out the animation the way you have, and we can always critique it as you go~

I would show you what I mean, but I've completely lost access to Fireworks. Which means I can't rip gifs apart and edit them anymore : (
