360 controller, Steam, Mac. I need help.

Can't update to Yosemite as Avid hasn't cleared it for most of their stuff, which I have to use
That's the one I tried and it's hilarious, I'm using my controller with Joystick Mapper right now scrolling the internet, I can use it with Steam's big picture mode, but as soon as the game opens it says "FUCK YOUUUUUUUUU" and will only recognize PS3 controllers, despite what the developers have told me.

EDIT: I'm pretty much stuck waiting for Avid to make Pro Tools 11 compatible with Yosemite and they're taking their merry sweet time with it.
