Update 7/12/2025:
Hello to the 2 people that still remember this thread. Unfortunately, I have some terrible news. The USB stick that I've used to store all my sprites from the past 6 or so years got corrupted, and so I lost everything. I had been slowly working on some stuff in the two years since my last update. I did some Mario tileset stuff, tried updating a Wario sprite I made around the time I did the original Mario sprite from the beginning of this thread, began plans to redo the CVS Mario sprite (this time it would be based on hand-drawn line art, instead of just tracing a screenshot of Smash Ultimate Mario), and also started work on another CVS styled sprite.
But now, that's all gone, and I have to start from scratch.
This will probably be my last post on this thread. No reason to continue using it when it's been dead for years. I've already begun some smaller spriting project (a couple Pokemon sprite edits that I don't really see any point in posting here), plus the new CVS sprite is still under work (though I did hit a bit of a roadblock since one of the reference materials I was using was also on the USB stick), not to mention that I have some other concepts that I've sketched lying around. Will I try revisiting any of the older projects? Time will tell, though if it hasn't already been clear I don't have too much motivation to continue spriting these days. Without getting into my personal life too much, trying to focus on my regular (non-pixel) art with the goal of being able to turn it into a full-time job (even if it's the worst possible time to do that lol) has taken up a lot of my free time.
