I started making these sprites back in June 2020.

I started with this 8-bit Mario. (Not sure if I would recommend doing this, I haven't started making a sprite this way since then).

Then I gave it some shading and made the rest of the sprite. (I always make a copy of the body so I can use it in other animations).

After that I did a similar process to make Luigi.

Several months later I decided to improve these sprites.

As for animations, I don't really have much to say, but I usually don't start shading them until after I've finshed all the frames.
