You may be wondering why yoshi and shy guy are in a game like this, and to be honest I don't know why either. I was simply browsing through the game's files and found them (named Yoshi and HeiHo_Red). I'm almost positive they are unused, since they aren't even in the same sprite style as the game.
EDIT: Also, I'll send the sprites over skype later today if that works for you. Should I just send a single sprite of each enemy or the whole set?
