My first thought on the type was that it could be flying.
It may be a bit of a stretch, but the color scheme/ design is similar to Skyla:

Either way, considering all of the other generations that had eevee evolutions also had evolutions of other previous pokemon as well, I think it's safe to say there will be a lot more to look forward to in that aspect.
