The graphics are REALLY amazing

I've been complaining about a ton of stuff of the game, but if you also were careful at reading my posts, you'd see that I actually enjoyed it some, and how it's better than the other modern Sonic games that we've been having:

There's definitely a lot of improvement and cool things

But i'm typing this right after being killed thrice because of this bad design, so in case it sounds too much like "this game is terrible", it's due to that. But I'm actually finding this game really good...?

Really, outside from the usual Sonic Team incompetence, this game is really incredible. For each bad design there's like 3 really good and/or original ones, the level design is definately a huge improvement. The graphics are REALLY amazing, and music is pretty good too.

it's definitely an improvement from most Sonic games, having a level design that rewards you for exploring it and motivates you to explore more and more as you unlock new powers, that and some other really good concepts merged together

But it still has it's share of flaws in gameplay that needed to be pointed out. And while some of them you can overlook, others are just way too huge to just ignore. It has its good share of really good things, but it also did a good share of things, as usual, unexplicably stupidly bad. But yeah, it's definitely better than most modern Sonic games and I think it's worth a buying or renting.

Also, not that it makes the game significantly less enjoyable, but now that you mentioned the writing, I thought that it feels like a huge frustration. They sometimes deliver pretty funny jokes, but they ruin them by just rolling with them after the punchline is delivered. For example, after Sonic beats a boss, he goes talking to himself with a destroyed, shut-down robot on its side:
"Whew, this one was tough, I almost thought that I wouldn't make it through!
Bah, who am I kidding, we both knew how this would end!"
But then Tails comes and says "Sonic, are you talking to a dead robot?" and they just keep talking and talking about how Sonic is so WACKY talking to himself and how it's so EMBARASSING to do so. Ex. Fucking. Dee.
