Apparently Nintendo has already started to ban people who leaked the game. I'm not surprised about this, but those people deserve it.

Just started, but the story is already more decent than normal, and I love Team Skull and the general characters hanging around you near the beginning.
Picking Rowlet seems to make the opening harder because of certain match ups, though. A lot of tougher trainers had things that grass couldn't dent much.

Started yesterday and already about an hour into the game (according to the time played in the save file, that is) the story seems to be decent so far and so far I've only got a Popplio I named after my Pokesona (Zattli) and a Pikipek and believe me, they're really good in battle.

I actually found that picking Litten at the start STILL makes things kinda difficult. Also I think I've got the worst luck: I managed to pull a Modest Litten and didn't think to save just before picking them. :/ I took the weekend off just so I could push through the game...and uh, I guess I did. Two kahunas beat so far and I'm up to Ula'ula Island and oh my god I love the fresh take this game has on what was a fairly antiquated formula. I love the idea of the Ride Pokemon especially, because now you don't have to worry about carrying an HM slave throughout the storyline with you. I've been getting Pokemon with really miserable natures though. It'd be nice if I could oh I don't know find some freakin ditto in Alola :I

I wonder if those 3ds bans given to the people who went online with it will last forever? It was pretty hilarious watching people freak out in response to that.

A life ban for pirating seems pretty damn harsh. I mean if it'a something like illegal copies had it so the second trainer you fight had Level 100 Pokemon, fine. But banning the store and everything - pretty harsh...

i hate it so far, enemies are always like 5 levels below your main pokemon so its so easy to kill them. no stratgey involved just use the most powerful move on the enemy pokemon until they are dead.
hoped they would change that with the help system by throwing 3 or 4 pokemon at you at once but its only 1 or two at a time. lame as hell

Wait, what? Even with Exp. Share on, my team has never been more than one level above the other trainers.

Also this game has been very smart about using various status buffs and debuffs against me. The game makes sure to go out of its way to make sure I'm paralyzed or poisoned, or it minimizes itself twice in a row and I can't hit it.

This was my main problem with X and Y. And then Mega Evolutions broke it even more... Just curious, did you turn off the EXP Share, because I didn't have this issue. Due to how the game handles exp, I tend to always be the same level as my opponents, if not lower. Thanked by: MandL27

Should the player really have to turn-off an in game item in order to make it enjoyable...?
11-26-2016, 08:09 PM
It's not mandatory, I don't see what the problem with it would be. It's two clicks of a button and it's off.

I don't like it when the player has to make the game more difficult (not talking difficulty levels). I mean, it just isn't good game design. It's like, I don't know, never using fireballs in Super Mario Bros or something. Like sure, as a speed-etc but as a first play through because the game's difficulty is so easy it's broken?
Seems pretty lame... |
