Pretty interesting article. Would be nice to see more things like this.

I don't think I need to convince you that Miiverse is horseshit, but here's something that proves it.
I just got a notification from the Miiverse moderators that a post was removed due to violation of code of conduct or some shit. When I checked which post it was, it was the troll post I made in response to the babies that kept crying for Mewtwo codes for Smash 4.
1. Mewtwo codes for Smash 4, so you know how old that post is.
2. I said I got a code via mail. The code didn't show up on the Nintendo website for me, so I tried to help those who had the same problem. Just by saying I got a code and got it via the mail, and that others should check their mail too, my post was seen as sharing codes?
Look, I don't give two shits about Miiverse. I'd be fine with being suspended indefinitely from that shit show, but I don't know what the consequences are for Super Mario Maker. Uploaded levels are automatically posted on Miiverse and sometimes, sometimes, I might want to leave a clever comment or artwork on a clever level. Or post how bullshit a level is one of my friends made.

Jeez, that sucks. They seem to be very incompetent with keeping an eye on things. And yet don't bat an eye over mild lewd drawings.
Another problem, besides lewd pictures, is how they also ignore the Japanese community as they draw a lot of Lolicon crap.
Out off all my drawings on there. Only one got deleted by moderators because it featured a cigar. Understandable, I guess.
Ever since that happened, I kept it safe. But I usually tend to draw tame things anyway.

well loli characters are usually of age according to Japanese law, so I personally don't find anything wrong with lewd art involving them.* i suppose it's probably best to keep the lewd stuff away from Miiverse tho lol
but it is kinda weird that they'd make a big deal out if a cigar. it's not like kids don't know that people smoke. as much as I don't like smoking, that's pretty BS
* but when it comes to artists in the US...i have no idea what the rules are on that...it's so open to interpretation that i'm so baffled by how confusing it is :p

That would be a carryover from the MMO, of which Xeno 1 was advertised as having the ability to recreate your MMO characters with.
Not particularly a fan of the fact that you just turn into Kid Buu, but I'm really not sure what else they could have done.

It's bad enough on Devianart, as they keep letting pedophiles upload art on there and nobody reports them. Seriously pathetic.
But Pixiv is way worse. There's far too many obvious reasons why I leave safe mode on when I browse for art there.
But I get what you're saying about what happened to my Miiverse post. Most people share theirs at DA and Tumblr for other's opinions.
All it featured was Grampa Simpson showing the fish character from Shutshimi the Flying Hellfish emblem.
I even got a yeah from the developer as well.
With this one of mine, featuring Yami Yugi and Satsuki Kiryuuin. I think the joke might fly over people's heads.
If you know what their English voice actors have been in, you'd get the joke.
What also sucks is how that Metroid 2 remake got taken down. But this is really hypocritical for Nintendo to do this though.
As they did say they're okay with fanworks as much as Sega and Capcom are. Sure it's a fan remake, but it's still BS of them.
Should I share a mirror of a download for the fangame or not?
Poor Samus, 30th anniversary on the same year as Legend of Zelda's and she gets nothing but a spinoff that fans are unhappy about.
At least some of us give the franchise more love it deserves.

I actually literally just read an article about that very thing, lol.
Makes me think of unlicensed pirated Chinese stuff, like the Wii Ripoff consoles. It's one thing to have bad motion control, but it's another thing to have FAKE motion control, lol.

I think everyone is having a mass overreaction over it. While it would be COOL to coop or directly impact one another's game, his implications seemed to be describing a far, far smaller scope of multiplayer interaction.
He describes multiplayer similar to Dark Souls... And I don't think an outsider looking in really understands Dark Souls multiplayer. When my friend described Demons' Souls to me the first time, he described it as having ghosts of other players playing and messages laid out. When I got invaded the first time, I had no idea that was a feature. What this developer seems to imply is the lesser interaction of potentially knowing someone distantly is in the same area as you, not direct interaction.
Also, that slow zoom at the end of the video is dumb, because the box clearly labels it as a single player game with network interactions. Until Dawn is a game just like that. It is definitely a single player experience, but the network interactions show you what percentage of people selected what actions at a given point. At no point does any player have direct influence on your game, but you can see what other players have chosen.
I don't have EVERY interview this guy ever did, and frankly I have very little knowledge on this game to begin with, but the way he describes it seems to basically match up to what has happened. Unless there is definitive proof that players have absolutely nooo network connection whatsoever (basically, no information goes over the network to anyone else's game), then this is just a huge misunderstanding.
So for anyone planning on buying No Man's Sky, the game is crashing on startup for a lot of people (including me) and there's looots of complaints about framerate problems and general performance issues. Might need to wait a little bit for a patch so the game is actually playable.

Damn. Guess I'll wait a while before buying it. At least it's not Tony Hawk 5 levels of a bad first release.

I've been playing No Man's Sky and haven't really run into the crashing or framerate issues, but I ended up on a really nice planet to start, so maybe I'm just lucky.
Very beautiful and relaxing game by the way.
