The whole thing is finished now. 11 bosses and a final boss. One of the bosses is bullshit (last one I fight before the final boss), but is cheesed with the Cross subweapon. If you don't use it, you're in for a painful battle, since there's a buzzsaw always in the way, and if you get hit by his shots, your controls are reversed. When your controls are reversed, you can't jump properly, just straight up and down. I'd say he's actually harder that way than the final boss, lol. The final boss is easy enough to do without taking damage if you stand in the precise spot, but I didn't care to at that point, since I had plenty of restoratives x3.

Here's the mother of all bootlegs. Super Mario Bros... on Sega Genesis.
At 1st glance, it looks like a semi-perfect recreation of SMB1, with a better screen size and less lag, but the music is dreadful. If anyone is wondering, it comes from a multicart called "Mario and Battle City", which has the said games. Thanked by: SuperFlomm, psychospacecow, supersmashball, SchAlternate, Rapidkirby3k

Does this classify as a bootleg? But Disney (Of all companies) made a Splatoon knock-off. Ironic, since Disney holds their copyrights like it's their daily needs to survive.
You're a kid now, you're a bootleg now. Thanked by: psychospacecow

I don't think it counts actually. Isn't Infinity just a user-created content thing, like Little Big Planet and such? This is just a download for it, that happens to be based on Splatoon. Everything does this; even Minecraft has a Splatoon mod. Why does everyone flip their shit when a big company does a parody mod/download, but eat it like cake when something like Little Big Planet does it? The internet, I tell you.

@Koh
That was my 1st thought, but I then noticed the little snippet on the picture that said "Created by Disney Infinity Team", which could imply that it was not user-designed. Which in my belief, counts towards being a bootleg/knock-off.

Everything on that tweet alone is begging for this to receive a cease and desist. They're not even trying to hide the fact it's ripping off Splatoon.
As NICKtendo said. It features a pathetic and obvious copy of Arowana Mall, one the Turf War maps. Plus, it doesn't help that a Disney Iinfinity producer insulted Nintendo over the Amiibos and their shortages in America. Thanked by: SchAlternate

That looks so shamelessly clunky.

It's not them saying "We're selling a Splatoon copy, lelz." It doesn't come with the game; it's a sample of what one COULD do with the game. If they do put it up on the workshop for people to play with, it's free anyway. People are literally getting their knickers in a twist over nothing. The comments on the video is just enough to raise someone's blood pressure XD.

@Kohh
If that's true, then I guess we're getting all angry over nothing, then. Here's some more amazing proper off-model bootleg madness. Here's Grand Dad, he's a recolour of Fortran that is also Fred Flintstone with Mario's face plastered over it. I don't know of the game's origin, but it appears in an bootleg Mario Multicart. This is a Dendy, it's a knock-off of the NES/Famicom of Russian origin, it plays what can pretty much be called a game library of bootleg awfulness. Wreck it Woody, coming to theaters near you. He also has a partner, Buzz Derpyear. And for the grand finale, here's the bootleg superhero bunch. I love bootlegs, especially the really bad off-model ones. Went shopping today and found this:
Two guys were selling bootleg Lego of everything from Friends to Minecraft and Marvel & DC and Star Wars. Including The Simpsons here. Seeing all of that annoyed me so much I complained about it. Last year near Christmas, they were selling bootleg Monopoly. No kid should be screwed over Christmas, all because their parents were suckers. Australia has a BIG problem with bootleg merchandise. I'm a big toy and figure collector, and if it looks fishy. I don't buy it. We had a Sydney convention every March and September called Animania. At the same place where they film our version of Master Chef. It finally shut down for good last year for a lot of reasons: Selling bootleg Anime & Manga figures. Bootleg DVDs with only fan-made subtitles. Yaoi manga just sitting there on a seller's counter instead of under it. Shitty organisation and a pain in the ass for anyone to get there. Madman, our biggest anime distributor, stopped sponsoring it because those assholes kept selling that trash and never bothered to stop it. Even the artist who run their Devianart & Tumblr galleries selling their prints there got fed up. So yeah, it got that bad. Thanked by: psychospacecow, Rapidkirby3k
(09-13-2015, 09:05 PM)Fillerthefreak Wrote: Hey, don't talk shit about Dendy ): When you're able to market a bootleg product SO WELL that you basically pull the wool over the nation's eyes over its roots as a Famiclone, with its own brand-store, magazine, and TV show is actually impressive lol I mean, Dendy was so huge that most people NOW who moved visit the States from Russia usually confuse the heck out of game store owners until they look up what exactly the deal with the Dendy was. (though they made a contract with Nintendo and started selling legitimate hardware eventually - and the games too. But they new hardware cost SO MUCH compared to bootleg ones that the company went belly-up under its own weight lmao. Dendy also sold the 3DO, which...would probably explain a lot. like a really lot) Thanked by: puggsoy, psychospacecow
