Welp, I just bought Majora's Mask 3D this past afternoon.
Now I'll finally find out why people claim this to be the best 3D Zelda game ever. Keep in mind that I'm speaking as someone who's only played Ocarina of Time 3D and Wind Waker.
I bought Codename STEAM today, and have been playing it all night. (well, sorta)
It's...okay. It's grueling slow but it's a nice diversion from Intelligent Systems' other offerings. I'm sure it'll get better, but talk about starting off slow. Jesus @__@
I kind of wonder if like, this was made by their American team or something and this was their way of showing "Yeah, our US division can make games too"

Speaking of Intelligent Systems' other offerings, I wonder what they'll have in store for us for the next Paper Mario game. I don't care if we ever get the same type of battle system from the first two games ever again as long as everything else doesn't become lackluster.
Hopefully, E3 would shed a little light on the possibility when the time comes, right?

Sticker Star is one of the worst Nintendo games ever made, either make a return to PMTTYD or don't make one. They already screwed up twice in a row don't go for three.

While I can agree that Sticker Star is the weakest entry, Super Paper Mario really isn't as bad as most people make it out to be. Even though it does lack the battle system we're used to and the 3-D worlds could have better execution, at least it got the story and characters right. If anything, I'd think the existence of Sticker Star could make Super Paper Mario more appreciated due to having most of the good elements from the first two games that the fourth one sorely lacked.
Still, knock on wood that Nintendo and Intelligent Systems learn from their mistakes and create a new Paper Mario game that captures at least a similar feel to what we consider a worthy entry to the series.

I don't think Super Paper Mario counts as an entry in the series. I'm not sure what's worse though, how boring SPM was or just the unneeded changes made (to the point it kinda feels like an unfinished game) of Sticker Star.

Super Paper Mario honestly gave me a headache every time I played it. I'm pretty sure it was mostly due to the flipping between 2D and 3D aspect that caused it. It honestly might have been a better game than I give it credit for, but I can't say I care for it solely on the fact that it's unpleasant for me to play. It sure didn't seem like it had very appealing aesthetics or story to it either, though, but that could have been just me being grumpy about it all.
Honestly even if SPM and PMSS had both turned out to be great games, I STILL would really just want another TTYD-esque title in the future instead.
To be honest though I think the Paper Mario series might be done. With the last two games doing poorly I don't see Nintendo trying to continue the series in the future, especially considering that they already have another strong Mario RPG franchise in Mario & Luigi.

What? The flipping between dimensions was my favorite part of that game.
Anyway there's been some extremely big Nintendo news announced. I suggest you all look it up. Like really huge. May make a topic about it later if someone else doesn't. I don't feel I can properly tell you what it is right now. Need to do more research.

Guess that "Nintendo Difference" isn't only on Nintendo consoles anymore.

So, besides mobile devices, Nintendo's also going into the PC game market if this image is anything to go by.
I wonder how the "elite gaming race" is going to take this news.

Guys. What if they made a follow-up to Sticker Star... that actually fixed all the problems it had? You guys want a good game, right?
EDIT: Also, how about we actually post a link relating to this smartphone news-

Now that we are going to release games on smart devices and [b]make use of globally widespread PCs and smart devices for our new membership service, we would like to offer more consumers with software that is suited to their tastes. In other words, we are challenging ourselves to redefine what “Nintendo platforms” mean.
Hoo, boy.

Maybe the NX is a truer successor to the Famicom concept... A game console that also happens to be a computer.

IIRC Miyamoto said he wants to make all future installments like Sticker Star. He hates story in games for some reason too I specifically remember that...

i'm not really sure how to read this news about the nintenda
I feel like, if anything it's going to be like the Dream World in Pokemon but fanned out across multiple platforms with a broader library. Supplementary games or apps that only serve to enhance the play experience, and tie in with your NNID to send items etc. back to your save file, i.e. send your Pokemon off to "mobile space" and Super Train them while on the bus, then upload the data with your 3G or wifi connection once you're done back onto the NN server and continue on your Pokemon journey with your now-stronger Pokemon on your 3DS.
tl;dr: don't expect MarioKart 9 on iOS or Smash Bros. for Android.
If anything it'll just complement Nintendo console games, but be approachable enough for anyone. I could also see Nintendo making an appstore of freemium games, but achievements completed within those games are sent to Nintendo Network servers and redeemed in games.
oh whatever this better be good and the main reason they closed club nintendo >(
