That depends on you, it's better looking and they improved a lot of the mechanics like saving and time travel.
It's still pretty much the same thing assuming you have the original, If not then definitely buy it.
I own the original but I'm thinking it's worth the buy as long as the gameplay wasn't goofed up. It gives me something yo play in bed and. Between classes at school.

X-Box Exclusives: Uh... how about Killer god damn Instinct?
The only Xbox One games I'm interested in are Sunset Overdrive and Scalebound, but the former I hear is getting ported to PC.
I heard the Killer Instinct reboot is pretty bad, though.

A free-to-play fighting game where I have to pay to get all the characters?
Uh... how about get a SNES? That one is supposedly better anyways.
You have to pay for every other fighting game, if you don't pay for it, you play as a random character every time. Friends who are actually into the fighting game scene seem to like it though.

There are freeware ones.
I'd rather just buy a physical complete copy of a game.
You can just buy the complete version.

No contest.

real talk, this was debunked years ago. Because Microsoft is really shitty at marketing.
the game is free, yes. But you only get one character upon downloading the free version. For the other 7 characters in Season 1, you just download the combo pack which is like 20 bucks. Amazing value for a game that looks as great as it does, really.
There's the same sort of deal for Season 2 as well, which is still getting released. If you pay like 20 bucks or something, you get the next eight characters as they are coming out. They even included an extra character, Omen, for those who purchased the combo pack. It's a weird pricing strategy, but at least Microsoft is supporting the game, y'know?
also lmao the SNES port of Killer Instinct sucked lets be honest here. You can actually download the Acade version of Killer Instinct on Xbone. I think you can do the same for KI2? But I mean eh.
but yeah KI looks really cool but it's not my THING. I'm only good at silly platform fighting games featuring Nintendo characters I don't have the patience to use a Fight Stick and jam out ultra combos. But I like watching KI matches so there's that. Maximilian has poured more hours into marketing that game by his videos alone than Microsoft has thoughout its entire lifespan lol.

I feel awesome every time I land a long combo in KI3, even if the game assist you a little bit. I just don't get that experience in other fighting games. I get my ass kicked regardless.
I'm not a fan of dubstep, but damn, I love the soundtrack! I can't wait until Cinder is out and see what they've done for his theme.

So it looks like Final Fantasy Tactics has been given a graphics touch up and put on the iPhone.
I'd be a bit more excited about it if it weren't for these three facts:
-It's not on Android for some reason, just iPhone only. Why?
-The graphics look like they've been run through an HQ2x filter, instead of redrawn by hand. They could've gone above and beyond, I mean look at Final Fantasy Tactics A2's graphics: http://www.spriters-resource.com/ds/ffta2/sheet/27462/ . They're lower resolution, but a shitload more appealing to the eye. Why couldn't they do this instead?
-The sound is still off compared to the original version, and there's talk of lag that carried over from the PSP version.

Probably because iPhones are pretty cut-and-dry whereas there's millions of Android devices, and tweaking the game to work on all sorts of devices, ain't no rehash dev got time for that. Less time to beta-test across devices for optimal functionality, resulting in happy developers.
Also the Play Store is a totally different ecosystem. This is a "Pay once and play" game that Square is charging $14 for. Most people on Android, when they see that price tag would rather just start hunting for the installer file on seedy sites - and you don't need to jailbreak or anything to do that. The Play Store's better suited for F2P titles with ingame transactions, unfortunately. iOS is a little more bolted shut, securitywise - sure, there's jailbreaking but the average consumer can't do it as easily as you would on Android.
Plus Square knows that Apple People would gladly fork over much more money anyway. 8D

I'd buy that as an excuse if the first 6 FF games and a handful of Dragon Quest games weren't already on Android. Also, not including the PC as one of the platforms in a multiplatform release in this day and age is just absurd.
