It's not as if the classic Battletoads games weren't without their flaws to begin with. Sure, I love the ones I played to death, but objectively there's a lot of poor design choices.
Here's hoping it's good if they go through with a new one.

Somebody's being a negative nancy.
It'd be pretty hard to fuck up Battletoads, and I think you're giving them too much flak. I think one bad Banjo Kazooie doesn't mean they shouldn't take a swing at anything else.
Yeah that wouldn't be incredibly simple. Microsoft has made it extremely apparent they don't give two shits about Rare.

I think Microsoft has made it apparent that they're extremely unfocused when it comes to game design. They aren't sure what the market wants (the developers do, of course, but they're at the mercy of Microsoft's execs) and have been too reluctant to let developers do their thing. Killer Instinct is a sign they're looking in a good direction, though, so I'm willing to give them another chance.
Can't remember the name of it, but they made a really cool point and click detective game that's really cool that uses the Kinect. It's pretty dope.

Ooooh yes. As AVGN said, Battletoads on NES is one of the worst two-player games of all time XD. Single player is decent, but multiplayer....*quivers*
But every game series started out bumpy. Ninja Gaiden's infinitely respawning enemies at the edge of the screen, when you're trying to make a jump....

So my Gamestop called me today. They said they had another limited shipment of Majora's Mask New 3DSes coming in. The catch is they needed full payment today, it wouldn't arrive until the 23rd, but it would come straight to my house.
I got it like 5 minutes later on my way to work. Aww yissssss.

The arcade Battletoads (sometimes called Super Battletoads, but no it isn't Battlemaniacs on the SNES) was freakin' sweet. It also has sadly never seen a console release, so well - Microsoft, if Rare is making a new one - would be nice to have that on the market place... Ok, the last level sucked, and it didn't have a speed bike mission (would be nice to see this return but as something actually fun) but other than that it was a great co-op game.
The first Battletoads was also a fine game (single player) even if you really did have to sink some hours into it to get anywhere. It was a game you had to learn (like R-Type) over one you had to actually be good at. And it looked gorgeous.
As long as the pause music from the NES one returns - I'd be hopeful.
Oh and over-the-top violence like Zitz turning his hand into a drill and destroy some people's faces.
And grabbing some dude's nuts and punching them, repeatedly - until they die.
And chainsaw kicking people's heads off.
Make it happen Rare. Make it happen...

I took a look at the official artwork for Mario Party 10, guys.
Something about the eyes for the Mario Bros. in a few of them (particularly this one of Luigi) doesn't look natural to me.

Star Fox proof-of-concept ported natively to the Sega Genesis.
This is running on the actual hardware, no Super FX, no enhancement chips.
Granted, it's slow as heck but then again so was the SNES version which needed special expansions.
Genesis was a beast.

I almost reccomended kero Blaster to you before I saw your sig lol
but there's Ikachan too which is the prequel
sigh.........
i havent played kero blaster yet, only because of that damned price. $8 is a lot for a game that might last you 3 hours. then again, cave story wasnt any different, so who am i to judge.
played ikachan already. what a cute game, lol. if only pixel added another stage or something else, like other means of attacking. :\
