I've seen so many people saying that they'll buy a Wii U for Bayonetta 2 and Bayonetta 2 alone. I've even seen a lot of those who only own/play Nintendo systems, and are interested in getting Bayonetta 2 because it comes with the first, and have heard a lot of great things about the series. Plus, it's in the top five most popular Wii U games on Amazon, and if VGChartz is anything to go by, it's one of the most pre-ordered games in North America.
Yeah, the hype for Bayonetta 2 is much bigger here in the West than in Japan. I have a good feeling it'll do decently here.
...and it is just now that I realize that Nintendo has at least twenty new (big-name retail) Wii U games coming out through the rest of 2014 and all of 2015, including the new console Zelda, Starfox, and Splatoon. Christ almighty, that is a far cry from 2013's lineup.
The 3DS just received an update that allows the themes to be used.
Currently downloading the Link Between Worlds theme right now, will download the Yoshi one next.
i'm good with the free blue theme, thanks
i miiight shell out some money if they make a waluigi theme, though

The Wii was a success because it appealed to the casual market which was big money. Unfortunately mobile devices have stolen the casual market with Angry Birds and such.
Koopaul not even.
They were striving to be more family friendly, the Wii helped define what casual gamers are.
With the Wii U, they have stepped away from that because there is not enough casual gamers who will consistently buy their products, usually they will stick with one game at a time until they get bored then they will move on. Its also pretty hard to keep players hooked if they cannot carry it around.

You both just basically said the same thing though
In becoming more "family friendly", Nintendo made more casual games which drew the casual market
Then phones came and because casuals don't have brand loyalty, there weren't enough around to continue consistently buying their games because they went over to the phone market.

What are some good halloween games to play? Doesn't have to be scary, as long as it's got skeletons/ghosts/pumpkins etc
(Besides silent hill, resident evil, luigi's mansion)

Illbleed for Dreamcast. Silly, campy, vaguely horror related, and terrible TERRIBLE voice acting.
Edit: Just realized you said good games, might not be that.

Monster Party on the NES is like, the perfect Halloween game.
There's also the Castlevania games of course.
Edit: Luigi's Mansion. A pox on me for not thinking it sooner.

Several of the Monkey Island games, some of the Sam & Max Telltale episodes, Grim Fandango, and Day of the Tentacle could be good games for Halloween for a variety of reasons.

I personally think that Majora's Mask is a perfect game to play around Halloween times.
People tend to overlook it because it's not your standard Halloween "theme" game, but it can be creepy as hell at times. The first half hour of the game alone ...
