...i /think/ what djanjo was saying is that they took sprites from other games and resized them and put them into mvc2, in the same way people take sprites from other games and put them into mugen, yet they look out of place because they aren't the same style as everything else (tl;dr clashing sprite styles, a la mugen and/or smash bros flash)

if they'd instead not half-ass their work and edit/custom the sprites to all be a unified style, they'd work

No, because in MvC2's 2010 re-release, they took the same sprites and just applied different filters on them to make them look crispier and better, but the sprites were still at 4x, rather than updated for the new size.

They didn't take a bunch of sprites from different games though, MvC2 uses generally a unified style modified from Street Fighter Alpha.

MvC3 could have been, and should have been in that style or at least that hi-res, but the way they're doing MvC3 I have no problems with and I don't see why anyone else would either. Marvel is comics they're trying to appeal to that. NOT overdoing Comics would be....weird.

i agree mostly about the graphics except that blazblue doesn't have that good of graphics, it sacrifices precision and quality for a higher resolution. normally i would agree about the comic part except they're doing it in a way that doesn't look much like a comic, it looks more like how the common person thinks comics look (in no small part due to that dumb filter on macs) which is dumb because i'm pretty sure anyone playing MvC knows what an actual comic looks like.

his voice isn't nearly is good as in TvC and it sucks that it doesn't look like they're changing any of his supers (hopefully they change his ultimate, it kind of really sucked) but he still looks great.
