12 is absolutely fantastic and you're a maroon for passing it up.

They say 'worst sequel' because whoever wrote the review likes to mix it up with all kinds of symbolism, analogies and oh my god it's like he just graduated from highschool or something seriously fuck him.

Besides, XIII isn't a sequel. It's just another chapter in the series.

This is always the stance I like to take, because as far as I see it every new numbered title in the FF series is meant to try something new. If FF13 is like the reviewer said, and doing what Final Fantasy does best (combat and story, apparently) while cutting out everything it's second best at, I'll give it a shot.

X's just...such an unimportant story. Which is why I enjoyed X-2 a lot more actually made sense emotionally as to why the what was going on.

The more I hear people talk about this game the on the net the less I want it. The more I hear the amount of my friends (who hav ebeen FF's and playing each of our copies over and over, over the years) I dunno what to beleive. I dunno if I should grab it or pass it...I passed on 10-13?

10-13 are the weakest in the series, but I do hear a lot of good things about 10 and 11. Not so much 12 and 13. I blame Uematsu and Sakaguchi leaving and Square Enix being born.

4-9 are my favourites, mainly 4, 5, and 9.

And 7 isn't bad buy god damn it is over hyped. I mean it is by no means the greatest final fantasy nor is it close.
Same can be said for 8.

Yeah one is an imagination the other the future of a reality of the original. Are we really gonna get into FFTA right here and now? Don't make me explain why FFT:WoL is better than Tactics Advanced 1-2 and FFXII. FACT; to use Ivalice as a backdrop for a main series string instead of spin off was a bold move and executed to tell the tale of a kid I don't care about. Apparently the plot didn't care about him either.

I stopped playing X-2 I got the best ending on first play through so I stopped while I had dignity.
