I'll have Electabuzz, Primeape, Gengar and Squirtle on my team.

Yeah, I definitely made my Electabuzz unique :p

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Vipershark - 07-09-2009

pretty sure it has to be yellow
that's not his shiny color, right

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Chris2Balls [:B] - 07-09-2009

I chose that colour intentionally, of course it's yellow normally. If I really wanted to stick to the original design I wouldn't've broadened him and made him 3 foot 4 and give him his tail. I was thinking more of the Pokémon varying between trainers, and giving stories for each Pokémon.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Vipershark - 07-09-2009

they're supposed to be to scale :/

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Alpha Six - 07-09-2009

Unique Pokemon don't have to be. Lolmy Zangoose.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Vipershark - 07-09-2009

I thought it only had a hat
iirc you said yourself that ken's would look like that too when it leveled up

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Alpha Six - 07-09-2009

they all grow in size when they level up.

mine has a hat and is bigger than an average one, which is what makes it unique.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Vic - 07-10-2009

If C2B really want to have a unique Electabuzz, I'd say he should stick with Electabuff but color him in the normal colors, because the design is different enough from the original artwork to be unique...
Anyways... I tried my hand at this style because it looked like fun (and I'm out of ideas lately Defeated)

I probably butchered the style big time, but that always happens when I try to do something in a specific style ...
I also suck at hands and designing clothes T_T

Holy shit, it's -ViC-
Welcome to the forums.

Nice sprite, his right foot looks a bit bent.
Looks badass.

I can understand that being for tygoose since you're a main character and all, but just normal trainers too? Ysaid there were.... 32(?) poses for every pokemon, correct? So not only would we have to make those for every time they grow bigger, but we'd also have to include every single trainer's variations and stuff. Right? Meaning a TON of stuff. Some of the pokemon (such as this one) you'd most likely only see once in the entire game, yet there still has to be a full sheet for each individual one.

Seems to be a waste of time and effort to me.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Alpha Six - 07-10-2009

That's like saying it's a waste of time to sprite a boss character for ANY video game.
I mean, you're only going to see them once, right?

Besides, a lot of events in this game are going to be reoccurring; in other words, no, you won't see them once and never see them again. This isn't like the other Pokemon games; this one is going to be a solid storyline and there's going to be a ton of events where you'll see unique Pokemon a lot more often than just once.

As for "normal" trainers getting unique Pokemon, not EVERY trainer is going to have uniques. Trainers that have uniques are usually reoccurring, anyway.

I personally think -ViC- might've just improved the style...

Also sup.

I agree on this by like, 500 fold.
