ROMs are illegal but I don't see why the emulator is such a big deal not to tell us...

Heck, there's a topic on the Discussion board that has a whole list of Emus and where to get them.

RE: Hotel mario sprite project - Chaofanatic - 04-11-2009

Would anybody be willing to help here...
I am trying to figure out how to extract the graphics files directly from the game...
It is an ISO so could someone please tell me what I can use to view do graphics ripping from an ISO?

RE: Hotel mario sprite project - Carpaccio - 04-13-2009

Well I usually unpack the iso file using an extractor such as MagicISO or something, then experiment to see which unpacked files I can open using Tile Molester. I'm not sure how well it'd work for a CD-I game though, the ISO might have a different method of packing.

Wow, those sprites are awesome! I used the koopa and goomba sprites in this game I am making called Hotel Mario 2: Global Problem.

The Hotel Mario is actually or suppose to be a good start...

Wow... Uh...
Turbo bump much?

This project has been inactive for a while so you can kinda lock this till tile ripping from cdi is possible...

RE: Hotel mario sprite project - Davy Jones - 09-03-2009

Didn't you use Animget? I can imagine that ripping backgrounds is impossible because they are covered by stage tiles, but ordinary sprites (bosses, enemies) should be easy to get.

RE: Hotel mario sprite project - Chaofanatic - 09-03-2009

Actualy it's that the game is such a pain to play that all...
If it was more pleasant then I would have ripped the whole game by now.

RE: Hotel mario sprite project - Carpaccio - 09-05-2009

Perhaps you should try the CD-I Zelda games. I've been dying for Ganon and Morshu sprites.
