Gilbert has some cool combos. You can do his crouch slide kick into his down-forward kick real nicely. And his uppercut in to his diagonal bullet in the air. That last combo i was able to pull off at the end of the video. But what happened to his flipping hammer in mid air? The Jump forward punch? That was awesome.

Oops, totally forgot! Hammerhead is now a Quartercircle Forward Air Punch. Just a trial run, it was pretty superpowered last update.

RE: TFR: Not So Turbo Edition [Program] (Updated 7-24-15) - The Phinx - 07-25-2015

Makes for an awesome combo!

>Kick down back punch bullet then flipping hammerhead in mid air. And with C2B can you block dat ass move? Since it pulls you in from behind. That thing is dangerous.

I managed to pulled it off in the middle of the video.

I love this game man.

For people who have updated their characters recently but have yet to see an update they really want in action, drop me a PM about what you really want to see updated.

I've been particularly active this week, in fact the next update may have another character added, even though Sol and Bombergirl aren't totally complete yet.

I'm wondering how I didn't see this project earlier. This is great!

RE: TFR: Not So Turbo Edition [Program] (Updated 7-24-15) - Quirby64 - 08-06-2015

Hey TomGuycott, I just downloaded Fighter Maker 2002 and would like to help in adding new characters, mainly just the ones who don't have much work done yet (CBL and Halberd) and Quirby. However, when I save the frames as .bmps, it says "This image is not in 256 colors" or something like that. What did you use to properly save them for use in the game engine?
If you're already working on these characters, if you want you can tell me who you want me to work on. I'd like to help as you can tell :p

idk man. id worry about finishing your character and to make sure he's in style with the rest of the cast, rather than helping with the actual game. this isnt the first time somebody wanted to do that, so i suggest that you work on your character first and foremost.

RE: TFR: Not So Turbo Edition [Program] (Updated 7-24-15) - TomGuycott - 08-06-2015

Programming my version is something I'm pretty much doing myself. Not entirely because I want to, but mainly because 2D Fighter Maker is a little bit on the tricky side, and if I'm not careful with the fighter data it's possible to corrupt it if I swap it around too much (something I found out when I accidentally corrupted C2B's entire character once).

However, I'm not opposed to seeing something you experimented with and seeing interesting physics or something of that nature you might come up with, and if you want to play with the program (which is something I'm thoroughly enjoying), what you need to do is to convert your image files to 256 color bitmaps for the program to accept them. Also, if you want to work in the scale that I am (since the fighter maker doesn't really give you a choice for visual scale in terms of how big the window is), I scale all sprites up 200% to make them fit a bit better.

Details in first post.

Also if there are any requests for what gets prioritized for the next update, let me know and I can see what I can do.

I've beaten the secret boss 3 times now. Cheesed the first victory by landing an instant Spritality. Don't do that. You don't want to waste this fight with an easy victory. At least I don't. That's why I fought the boss a second time. The third time was to show it off to my mother.

Getting to that secret boss is tooough man!

RE: TFR: Not So Turbo Edition [Program] (Updated 8-20-15) - Gors - 08-22-2015

i can't make the game run, as it closes immediately upon its execution

RE: TFR: Not So Turbo Edition [Program] (Updated 8-20-15) - Quirby64 - 08-22-2015

I couldn't even get the character reveal, thus I just decided to play as him through the FM2K editor. Totally hacks, guys.
Like the update too!  Tongue it's only that I need to "git gud"

That's no good. If you can get me a screencap of your files in your TFR folder, mainly with file size or dates altered, and I'll see if anything doesn't add up.
