Not gonna lie, I've fantasized about them taking the Smash fighting engine and gearing it towards making various single franchise fighters, like Pokemon, Mario, etc.

Sonic's back (frankly, I'm not surprised, considering the Nintendo-exclusivity of the next few Sonic titles).

Nintendo needs to just buy Megaman and Sonic. Both characters have gone through hell recently. Sonic has been stagnating for years (with the exception of recent games) and Megaman has been shafted by Capcom. Just give 'em to Nintendo. Make us all happy.

Glad that Sanic made the cut.
Hopefully he won't be as shitty as he was in brawl. Now at this point I'd be surprised if Snake's ass got back into the fray this time around.

This constant theme of big releases of games translating into character reveals is a-okay with me. It keeps a small hype train and allows us to speculate in advance. I am saying this because of Lost Worlds coming out soon and all of the other instances of this so far.

As I recall, he was a last-minute add-on to Brawl, so I'd imagine this time around they have more time to refine him. Hopefully he won't control like an oil-slicked deer-in-the-headlights driving an eighteen-wheeler missing 3 wheels tumbling down a mountain of lard this time.

What I find most interesting about this reveal is that several of Sonic's pictures show him on a stage clearly modeled after his latest title. It is the first stage in any of the games that is based on a title that was in development at the same time as it was.
