I've only played one Metal Gear game, which was the one where he meets Otacon which I think is the second one? I dunno. Anyways I don't remember actually using an actual bullet-shooting gun all that much in the game at all. It was mostly stealth, grenades, and rocket launchers. He definitely had guns, and there were definitely parts where the use of a gun was required, but it didn't seem all that centric to the game nor the character. (I could be wrong here it has been a while and I only played the game once). Bayonetta on the other hand is all about the guns blazing all the dang time. Sure she's got plenty of other abilities, but the guns are definitely very core to her character.

Also going back to my original post about this topic, I was pointing that her overbearing use of guns was probably the primary reason she's not being chosen for Smash4. I wasn't saying she was completely implausible as a character, just giving the most logical reason for her exclusion. So honestly I don't even know why we're having this argument.

The "true" way to play MGS, or at least the way that merits the most prestigious awards and titles in the game, involve avoiding being seen at all costs and avoiding any form of killing. MGS2 and onward had stamina meters for bosses too, where you were able to defeat a boss by depleting their stamina through hand to hand combat or tranquilizers rather than brute force, hence you could beat a boss in a non-fatal fashion (though from a cinematic approach that doesn't usually change the outcome of cutscenes). The exception was giant bosses like helicopters, jets, and of course Metal Gear, which involves fighting them off with explosives and rockets.

Most of the fun I had with MGS wasn't with actual firearms most of the time, so I don't PARTICULARLY associate Snake with them.

You know what other feature I really want added to the game? A two-player co-op option for Classic Mode.

Brawl included such a mode for All-Star and Boss Rush, but due to the fact that you only have a single life in those modes and if either player dies it's an instant game over, it wasn't very satisfying when you are trying to play the game with a sibling that is not on the same play level as you.

I think the reason that Brawl neglected to include it in Classic Mode is that they feared if one player were to lose all their stocks, they would have to sit out the rest of the game while the other player either had to finish the campaign on their own or kill off all their own stocks so the other player can join back in. But there is an easy way to rectify that problem. Just have both players share the same stocks, and should a player die when all the stocks are depleted, they just have to sit out until the beginning of the next round, where the defeated player would automatically respawn. (Or if the game designers were adamant about them not being able to continue the game alone, have the game over occur as soon as you are out of available stocks and one of the players dies).

TSR: Where Gwen makes a fun suggestion for a character and it turns into a huge fucking discussion.

You're pretty much going to get that anywhere on the internet where Smash is being discussed.

In fact I'd say TSR has been pretty level-headed about everything in comparison to most places I've seen.

Like complaining over the fact that waluigi's hand doesnt have modelled fingers

Bayonetta would look cool in SSB, period. Not saying that it will be a char or not

I didnt even play bayonetta and i know that she would be a really fun char to play as

If you ever get the chance, try the series out. It kind of has a Devil May Cry feel to it, but it's sexy and even more action packed if that's even possible.

Honestly, yeah. Waluigi's fingers being textures isn't that big a deal, but it's still something to look at in disappointment.

awww, I'm sorry I mistook an internet forum for a place for free discussion

I'll return to simply occasionally reposting screenshots and making Alphonzo jokes

when the discussion gets irritating, Alphonzo replaces it
"Leave it to me!" he says.

Im more disappointed with the fact that many of you (not all of you) are hellbent on trying to find hair on eggs. In what will those graphical "faults" ruin the fun in the game? Like really now

Im ok with trying to discuss whis the next newcomer, or how mechanics will work. But to be actually diappointed over a fact like frames in a given animation, or lack of a hundred polygons in a character, doesnt sound healthy at all for me.

Mario looked like shit in ssb64. Link had a pyramid nose in ssb64. And no one even cared about that because the game was fun either way. Its not like it is a clusterfuck of unfitting styles in a single game, seeing that the character models all have the same amount of detail and edited to look nice together.

You can look at fingers in disappointment; i am simply going to enjoy the hell out of this game.

Not to say no one is ever allowed to discuss, but cant help but feel that some of the points raised here is pointless to the overall outcome of the game

Gors nailed it. Despite how the game looks(which it will look amazing) I'm just going to enjoy the fuck out of playing Smash Bros on a new gen, with new characters, and a new feel.

RE: I love you all to death (Just so I can smash bros with you) (SSBWiiU/3DS) - Koopaul - 04-27-2014

Of course it won't ruin the game. Sheesh! But we're not allowed to take notice of these things?

Honestly it's just weird, a lot of things I love you seem to have problems with, but I criticize something and you complain.

Man I hope my wish of a Rhythm heaven character makes it in, unlikely as it is, series needs da rep.

Sometimes a series is better represented as a stage or items. Mostly if they don't have a main character to represent it.
