On discussion of controller choices - you learn to use each controller style pretty quickly as long as you understand the game mechanics. I often switched between using the GC pad, nunchuck & wiimote, and even the sideways wiimote.

I never tried the classic controller, but I'm sure it's just as easy.

I hope that they do the same thing as they did with Brawl, regarding their revealing content gradually. That really brought some awesome hype between me and my friends.

Also, Subspace was brilliant fun - me and my girlfriend played through it, enjoyed every moment. It was great for teaching you to use multiple characters.

This.

Classic controller is pretty much just as easy. The only disadvantage that I've had is the fact that it feels REALLY weird with how light it is. I'm used to a controller that's a lot heavier, because there's barely any guts in the Classic.

So on the side of obscure badasses, how about John Ramey from Geist? Cause I love me some Geist.

Highly unlikely, as the game was a bomb. I mean, they could at least add some stickers and trophies from it.

<that game I alone loved> =/= that game people enjoyed.

lolassuming I assumed it was popular because I liked it lol.

The idea was to generate a little discussion, but I guess anything beyond "no, you're a fucking retard" doesn't happen.
You didn't even have to talk about Geist. Nintendo has a dozen other hard-style characters you could have related to the post.
Like Mach Rider.
But no, fuck anything that isn't humiliating.

Let's please not go down that path Sad

anyway, I'm actually a bit interested in how the Wii-U controller itself will work. Or how the 3DS version will work alongside it.

mach rider was inmensely more popular than geist, yet it would hardly be material for a character. maybe an assist, but thats all.

you can always ask for a sticker, since these seems to cover way more stuff in a cheaper way.

Geist never came out in Japan and therefor doesn't exist to Nintendo developers. Also I'm pretty sure the rights to that IP belong to N-Space...

Being able to pin down what does or doesn't belong to Nintendo is a hard thing sometimes.

I'm really hoping that they go with Link's skyward sword design as well as Zelda's.
As for realistic hopes as for new characters I'd really love for toon Ganon and tetra/zelda combo if they were going to keep on with toon link. That would rock my socks off.

Phantom Ganon for Assist Trophy. Cool

As far as Zelda characters go, as long as they change Toon Link's moveset so he isn't as similar to Link (along with Fox/Falco/Wolf and Ness/Lucas) then I'd be happy.

Maybe change the Up-B to deku leaf and implement the wind waker somehow (and change the final smash).

Am I the only person who thinks Tingle is the only suitable new character from the Zelda series? Think about it, he had is own game, he is a regular zelda character, he would fall under the wtf and be a easy to think up character to add.
