I changed the thread title into something less confusing.

Which is how I look at it. Animation is Animation. Naturally, there will be cultural influences in any work of art, but there doesn't really need to be a name to designate this.

Baccano is the shit everyone should watch it.

RE: Anime Thread - Kitsu - 11-08-2013

Also watching Samurai Flamenco this season. It's pretty fun; not AMAZING, but pretty good anyways.

But I mainly can't wait 'til the full ED song is available; it's really catchy...

D-Don't mind me... I-I'm just listening to the 1:30 long version... on manual loop... all day.......

Dr. Slump is hilarious. It's so ridiculous and random but I love it.

RE: Anime Thread - Lexou Duck - 11-08-2013

Watched a camrip of the third madoka movie (which, unlike the first two, is actually a continuation rather than a remake of the anime) with poor quality subs; the subs even briefly turned to portuguese during the crucial infodump near the end!
Though I have a feeling that, even if it were in a language I actually know, I still wouldn't have understood what was going on...

If it sucks, I'm going to be very angry

What about Tatami Galaxy!

RE: Anime Thread - TomGuycott - 11-16-2013

I've been watching a lot of Attack on Titan and Kill la Kill on Hulu.

I coincidentally discovered Attack on Titan yesterday (saw a video that used the theme song). It looks like a pretty interesting and somewhat eerie concept, I might give it a shot sometime.

If by eerie you mean traumatizing, then yes, absolutely. XD

Seriously, I haven't seen a show try so hard to be depressing and bleak since... Well, I don't remember. I just know that I really like it. I just finished episode 13.

RE: Anime Thread - TomGuycott - 11-17-2013

Annnnnd, done. I really really enjoyed it. My face by the end was something like this:

The anime industry needs to change from the usual copy paste plots with no effort. I am more disappointing that fans in japan really don't get tired of it, to the point where you could literally take one plot, change the names, and fans everywhere eat it up. I can't say i am excited for the winter season outside of one show, Space Dandy.

Hopefully the spring seasons brings us some good stuff.
