RE: Terraria - Woppet* - 05-17-2011

Just bought this game.
5 Mins later, i email steam for a refund.

True story.

RE: Terraria - Saltonara - 05-17-2011

This game looked like shit imo, I thought it was just going to be a free Minecraft fangame. Guess I was wrong.

RE: Terraria - Kesha - 05-18-2011

ok a professional review is out for this game

RE: Terraria - ThePortalGuru - 05-18-2011

Fucking love those guys.

RE: Terraria - GaryCXJk - 05-18-2011

Yeah, I've seen it, and I already posted a request on Facebook that people should gift the game to me since I'm pretty much broke.

RE: Terraria - Shawn - 05-18-2011

this is honestly the biggest ripoff ive ever seen

RE: Terraria - triptych - 05-18-2011

profit game using stolen graphics i have no fucking clue how this still exists

RE: Terraria - ThePortalGuru - 05-18-2011

Simple answer: Steam's making major bank off of it.

I bought it. I like it. I know it's pretty much a cash-in game, but that fact certainly doesn't stop me from playing it.

Inb4 part of the cancer

RE: Terraria - Kesha - 05-18-2011

Looks and sounds like absolute shit, I wish I could say I was surprised that this is even selling but I'm not. Honestly the fact they can get away with selling this for $10 is pretty embarrassing for the gaming community.

I think it could be a pretty fun game, but the presentation is just unforgivable.

RE: Terraria - ThePortalGuru - 05-18-2011

Oh hey guess who's been invited to visit Valve after two days on the market

RE: Terraria - Alpha Six - 05-18-2011

You heard it here folks. Make an ugly-looking ripoff game, get rewarded by multi-million dollar companies in mere days.

It's shit like this that makes hard-working developers (and artists) want to quit. :l

RE: Terraria - Saltonara - 05-18-2011

I like how he blatantly states that it's "similar to Minecraft" and acts like a pompous douchebag when talking about Notch, as well as openly shows that he's very money hungry.

Can't wait to see what amazing fangames-in-disguise Redigit comes up with for Valve!

"Hey Gabe how about a game where you're in a cave and you shoot things, and you level up weapons by collecting crystals dropped by enemies, let's call it uh...Subterannean Saga"

"Hey Gabe I think we should make a JRPG where you travel back in time a lot to try and stop a giantass alien, with battles occurring directly on the field instead of a separate battle screen; let's call it uh...Sequence Initiator"

"Hey Gabe let's make a first person shooter where you're a physicist and y - shit."

EDIT: btw funniest part about this is that Redigit canceled one fangame (he even made a fake cease and desist letter as an excuse) just so that he could make another fangame. except he sold the second one.

Yeah, he already built a community around Super Mario Bros. X, so when he released Terraria he was already pretty much guaranteed a good amount of sales.
