I've never heard of any Nintendo-related fangames receiving C&Ds, though. Except for a LoZSurpriseoT2D project and Super Mario Bros X, both of which were later confirmed to have been faked so as to allow the devs an excuse to stop working on them.

While fangames do carry a bit of that risk, and some companies are known for actually handing out C&Ds (Sega and SquareEnix), it does allow starting devs the chance to make some simple things based on existing game designs to build some experience. Of course, if a dev can make something original, that would probably be better anyways.
Also, technically, even fanart is copyright infringement just as much as fangames.

Anyways, on topic: I've lately wondered how much better Fire Emblem would be without all those stats. Not sure how exactly it would work though (I've only spent like 5 minutes thinking about it).

why would you ruin it with that.
Not really a game, but CAVE, Raizing, Takumi, and Gazelle should re-unite and brand themselves Toaplan again. AND THE FANDOM REJOICED
yes.
R-Gear. This also would've happened too, although at least RayStorm isn't a half-bad alternative.
Gunlock is even better.
Some kind of Raiden Fighters game playing kind of like Ace Combat Advance (i.e. more realistic combat and such). Or perhaps Raiden as an After Burner-style game.
After Burner Climax.
Cannon Spike 2, with controls similar to Zero Gunner 2 (i.e. Turn Markers instead of just regular lock-ons)
and extended gameplay.
Strikers 2020. If Psikyo were still around, it'd be perfect in this day and age, since 2020 is relatively far into the future, yet still pretty well-known in terms of military aircraft development.
yes.
Some sort of sandbox Metal Slug game where you took all of the elements from the Arcade games and could do pretty much whatever with them Gmod-style. ALL OF MY MONEY. ALL OF MY FUCKING MONEY.
just cause 2.
Some Psikyo game where pretty much every shmup they did on the SH2 is combined into some kind of ungodly all-stars product. Have you ever wanted to fight F.G.R. using the Space Bomber? How about using Marion to fight Goblins? And we don't even need to mention the potential hilarity of some of the endings...
i believe there is a fan game doing this. or was.

Lego Hitchihikers Guide To The Galaxy / Lego Discworld.
I know they haven't even made the toys yet, but god, i'v wanted the Lego hitchikers for so long.
We only need the excuse of another Hitchhikers movie (Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy 2: The Restaraunt At The End Of The Universe: The Movie) and it may comne together like the Lego indy games.
Fingers Crossed

I have no idea...
I mean, sure, I want an awesome Pokemon game that's voice activated, real-time, 3-D models, and doesn't have crappy internet where you can be a Pokemon or a trainer, but like that's going to happen.
Oh, but there is one I want.
A WARRIOR CATS VIDEO GAME. You know, the book series by Erin Hunter, Warriors? It needs a video game AND a movie. An awesome one at that.

id call it....

pokemon red

idk, I'd give it a name that emphasizes the platform, not the color of the graphics

How about Pokedex 3D?

RE: Non Existing Video Games You Would Love To Have - Helmo - 03-13-2012

the virtual boy is red

RE: Non Existing Video Games You Would Love To Have - Raz - 03-14-2012

Shenmue III.

Seriously.

Updated versions of Nintendo's library, Arcade and Game & Watch through Nintendo 64.

Now, I don't mean updated graphically. What I mean is the addition of some kind of achievements system (WiiWards?) and online usability. Not even really online play, but at the least, various leaderboards would be nifty.

I would love to see a vast open world Rpg on my lil' ol 3ds. If I could rpgjunkitize on the go, I'd be hooked FOREVER. Something very punk like, with mohawks, something like Borderlands style to say the least.

RE: Non Existing Video Games You Would Love To Have - Lemonray - 03-15-2012

A Castlevania game about the 1999 events.

I want this so much :<

A Pokemon, Zelda, or any other bird's-eye-view game where you can actually sit in a bench.

I hate seeing empty benches and not being able to sit in them, and the only game I've played so far that actually allows it is Fallout 3. And that's a game in which you don't even have time to sit.

RE: Non Existing Video Games You Would Love To Have - Gwen - 03-15-2012

You can sit in Skyrim as well Genki ^_^ and The Assassin's Creed series as well heheh.

You're not very hard to please, eh?

I bet you'd love this game;

I know it's not bird's-eye, but you can sit in Skyward Sword
