RE: TSR PokeDex Project - stache - 04-05-2011

Ok, anything else before I draw them again? Any small feature?

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 04-05-2011

While this would be very cool, I might not be able to fit it on his face. I'll try, but if it doesn't work I wont put it. Nice idea though

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Chaoxys - 04-05-2011

I like the pig idea, but honestly, I don't like the design overall. I'd offer some helpful C+C but I'm tired as hell right now, sorry.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - stache - 04-05-2011

Ok, when you're ready to give C+C, either pm me or just post it here. I'll sketch new ones when I have time (before friday) so tell me it before.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 04-05-2011

No offense but I don't think we should include a pig Pokemon. I think it's more important at this point to cover things that haven't been done before. If we have room left over we can include this.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - stache - 04-06-2011

Quite honestly, we don't have many original Pokemon ideas right now. The concept list on the front page does not have more than 35, and we are shooting for 150 Pokemon. I understand your reluctance to accept a pig Pokemon as Spoink and Grumpig are both pigs, but how will we fill 125 spots with concepts that haven't been done before. Already we are using old concepts, the new crab posted here=korpfish. Hokoot and Pokoot are owl like creatures= hoothoot and noctowl. The point is that there aren't many unused concepts out there anymore, so I agree to put it on hold, but at one point we will have to start using animals used before and completely changing their concept/type, which is what I did.

For the record, Hokoot and Pokoot are definately NOT owl Pokemon.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coot
And for the record, there are 5 pig Pokemon a.t.m., you forgot Tepig, Pignite and Emboar from the 5th generation.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Ton - 04-06-2011

That pig is.... not very good.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Kirby Void - 04-06-2011

I have to admit these are looking pretty good, I reckon when it's done we could send these in to give to Nintendo or Game Freak and they could use them in the next generation of Pokémon. Big Grin

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Teddy The Elite - 04-06-2011

Just an idea.

I'd drawn before a bansai tree with a battery pack on it. Grass/Electric. It evolved into an Oak looking tree with power lines coming out of it's arms, almost like fingers. I could come up with a dex entry and new concept art if anyone's interested.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 04-06-2011

Why would a bonsai tree have a battery pack?

If you really want to make a Grass/ Electric type try researching into that green natural energy stuff.

An eco-friendly energy Pokemon?

First of all those crabs are originally based off of Pistol Shrimps. I keep forgetting to tell him to change them to be more shrimp-like. Perhaps featuring on large claw that resembles a cannon to reflect its species.

Next you need to remember that a lot of these Pokemon are going to have multiple stages, that should fill up are numbers greatly.

Why just the starters alone make up 9 Pokemon.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Chaoxys - 04-06-2011

Theres a design based off of pistol shrimp?

Wait, did you mean mine? If so then they aren't based off of the pistol shrimp.

I just recently remembered why I made the first stage look the way he does. He's based off of a steamed shrimp (hence the lack of feeler things and what not on the head and red colors). And the second form is based on these crabs that live on undersea vents.

Then again if you weren't talking about mine then you can ignore this post.

EDIT- Now that I think about it, an alt evo for Shrimurry where he becomes a faster pistol shrimp pokemon with less defenses would be kinda cool.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 04-06-2011

Ah I misinterpreted it. Apparently, someone associated your design a pistol shrimp in a later so I thought that's what you were making.

The pistol shrimp can create temperatures up to 4,700 °C with it's claw. That's nearly the surface of the sun!

Ahem anyway, sorry for the confusion.
