oh...well, do you think the dinosaur is fine now though? I'll see what I could do to the prehistoric dolphin.

Edit- I find the first to be much better after comparing them again. Sad

Also I have two ideas for an Anemone pokemon which there was talk of... Is it too cutesy you think? It was hard to come up with a less cutesy design that didn't make me think of Lileep or Cradily.

Edit - I fear the first is too Vileplumey, and the second is too Marakachhi had sex with Whismur-y

Your right your other one looked much better... I do like the anemone idea.If you don't mind I'm going to take some of these designs and mess with them a little. Is that okay?

I'm afraid that evolution seems to give off a real King Slime from Dragon Quest vibe.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - The_Snare - 01-09-2011

Nope! Go ahead and play with the design! Smile

That's the whole core behind this project after all.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Lee Dewyze - 01-10-2011

wow mr.snare i really love your artworks how did you make this?
also i'am going to try and join this project if i have time.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 01-10-2011

I like the first mosquito larvae better. Esp. because the second one reminds me of Caterpie.

I have this idea for a narwhal Pokemon:

Their horns were once believed to cure depression, so I was thinking it could have healing/buffing properties. I was screwing around with the tail, and I had it as an orb at first (where you could see what your heart desires or something), but I settled for a heart shape. If anyone has a better symbol for happiness - esp. Dutch since the narwhal's name is Dutch in origin - that would be swell.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Baegal - 01-11-2011

I actually like the heart a lot.

@mutant
I think that the Spino needs a little bit of work fitting it into the Pokémon Style; to me, it resembles more of a Digimon/Dinosaur King style.

Here's my try at revamping the Spino's first stage.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - mutantyoshi - 01-11-2011

dang, that looks really good! now I have to see what I could do with the other one I've made.

Edit: I've made two, using the same face.

The Left one was my first concept of the two, the other was just there, but I felt there should be at lest two....so yeah.. what do you guys think?

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 01-11-2011

No offense but I'm not digging these machinamal ideas. Pokemon are almost never cyborgs. Usually when a Pokemon has like jets or cannons on them they seem more organic and a part of their body.

Look at Blastoise. It's got cannon sticking out of him but it seems natural.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - mutantyoshi - 01-11-2011

true, I'll think of something else later.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 01-13-2011

I like Baegal's coin purse. I don't think it needs an evo.

Just sketching. Take from it what you can.

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Baegal - 01-13-2011

the coin purse is koopaul's, not mine :/

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 01-15-2011

My bad. Unsure

RE: TSR PokeDex Project - The_Snare - 01-16-2011

Slow thread lately... Sad Well I don't think we need another swan pokemon... But I came up with this pokemon long before Swanna came into existence.

It's based on a swan and a lyre, which is what we incorrectly refer to as harps when we see a little angel playing one (pictured to the right). I named it Penlire as a mix of Pen (female swan) and a corruption of lyre.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for Koopaul but yeah. Tongue
The grass one could use some work around the mouth part. Also, I might be wrong with the shading & such. But at least it's a start lol.
As for the "Water and Fire types" I know they're not your final product but I figured i'd give em a shot.

(Sorry if you wasn't looking for sprites like these.)
