Hrm I want it to be a form of craft. And not really a punny animal Ton. Pokemon usually transcend all languages. This is why a "Dragonfly" is not a Dragon type because it is not called a "Dragonfly" in Japan. They aren't even associated with Dragons. Seahorses are actually associated with Dragons in various parts of the world, not horses, this is why Kingdra is part Dragon type. The is based off of legends and not its name.

So basically don't design a Pokemon based on the name of its animal, because they have different names in different languages.

I know I'm being nitpicky but I want this to be one of the most authentic looking fake PokeDexes on the web. We could even brag about how much our Pokedex trumps theirs.


Anyway...


Perhaps the flying scissors Pokemon could be based off of the art of Stained Glass. The glass is cut in sharp angles and glass can be shattered by rocks.

I imagine something similar to metagross, with scissors for a face (the handle bits can be eyes) on the front of some sort of flying blobbish creature.

I was actually thinking the scissors would be the wings. Air Cutter anyone?


Anyway enough of my suggestions, I'm interested in hearing more from you guys. I'll add Bombardier Beetle to the list. I like the idea with the fuse and everything. The panda needs more refining. But I'll wait to see what you come up with.

how big should the starters be? The grass should maybe be tallest, and desman shortest, right?

I figure that but usually that doesn't matter as sizes aren't accurate when you sprite them.

I got some doodles I've been making, I should scan them sometime and show my other ideas. You should do so too.

Well I call those tag team Pokemon. Like Volbeat and Illumise.

A true symbiotic relationship would be Mantine and Remoraid. Or Slowpoke and Shellder making Slowbro.

But yeah I always wanted a Clownfish and a Sea Anemone team.

but mantine+remoraid are both water type. we could push it further by having like cranes and carabaos.

Well here's another idea of mine. I always wanted another Pokemon that could use Pay Day. I came up with this idea of a Steel type coin purse Pokemon. Which do you like better? Dot eyes or Gem eyes?

I like it a lot, actually. I picture it to be a bluish purple color with a gold rim. Maybe for an evolution (if it even needs one) it could be something related to dollar bills or yen.

Thanks, I do have a drawing of what it could look like, but I don't have a scanner, so maybe I could just take a photo with a camera and upload it later...anyways, I did try to spite the frilled lizard...I never sprited in this style, so hopefully it is good. I made two green, because I'm not sure which to use so, I'll have you guys to decide whats better, and the other one (the one that represents the season fall) is the shiny one, so yeah....oh, and I didn't rip Totodile (not even sure who ripped, it, got it from bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net on the Totodile page), so yeah...
