Thank you Boo. And yeah, I kind of see what you mean Viper. I wanted to go for a lines look rather thank a gloopy look, but I tried it as a glooppy look (or mukiness as you put it) and I think it turned out pretty cool.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Boo - 06-23-2009

Yeah, that looks a lot better.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Vipershark - 06-23-2009

MUCH better. Smile

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Thunder Toes - 06-23-2009

These are excellent, nice job. My only complaint is the cat-thing's back feet seem off for some reason.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Alpha Six - 06-23-2009

The main problem with Muk is that he's sludge; he doesn't look shiny enough. Make one color that's lighter than the base color and use it for highlights.

It's all quite nice, but Arcanine's proportions look off.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Wes - 06-23-2009

Yeah I tried highlights when I was first working on him, but it didn't look quite right to me. Redid them to see how they look anyway. Mind specifying which propotions? Are the legs too long? Head to big?

WIP Ursaring, though I don't like the way the lineart is so far.

I think it's too skinny in the waist area; the way the legs connect to it looks unnatural.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Deebs - 06-23-2009

Here, Wes.

It's not perfect but... eh <:/

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 06-23-2009

That looks better, actually.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Adam - 06-23-2009

Yes, Lapras looks great in your version, Deebs. Not to say yours wasn't good, Wes. In fact, you're doing a great job with your sprites so far, Muk looks really cool.

Ursaring seems like he'd be a bit bigger, I dunno though. The pose looks kinda stiff and uninteresting as well, compared to Muk's.

Also, the selout on Lapras' chest still doesn't work.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Cshad - 06-23-2009

Why is Ursaring so small Very Sad
He's a bear, he should be huge. And if he isn't, I just always pictured him bigger

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Alpha Six - 06-24-2009

Ursaring is 5'11" in the Pokedex.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Wes - 06-24-2009

Awesome edit Deebs, thanks. I redid the shell and flippers on mine to try and fix what you pointed out.

Arcanine's legs and waist are based off of real lion pictures I used as refernece. If you've ever seen a cat up close, You'd know their waists are very skinny. Though he is also based off of a dog, so maybe I should've used one as a reference instead. I'll work on that.

Tyvon is right, Ursaring is 5'11". So I made him a look wider. The reason his stance is just boring liekt hat is because these are supposed to be idle poses, just standing around. Up until DP, Ursaring's in-battle poses had him just standing there. He never really had a fighting stance. Muk's stance is interesting because thats the way I see his idle stance being. Just sitting there with his large arm raised and his mouth open.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Vipershark - 06-24-2009

Wes, you should change the far front flipper back to the one Deebs did. Yours looks too thin and curved.

RE: Pokemon Zero Sprites - Wes - 06-24-2009

Tried to fix up that flipper, along with a bunch of stuff on Arcanine and Ursaring
