here is stage with the cameramen, and future area for the crowd is just below the black outlined box, where the silhouettes of marios enemys will be, which will be the crowd.

the writing was actually very easy. i used a picture of the front of the super mario advance package to make it, then i made them all flat color instead of pixelated, and saved it as a gif, which made the letters look that way.
