Clamperl is a fucking beast on Trick Room teams when holding this item. Beware~

Oh wait why are you using Aerial Ace on Hitmontop. Where's Sucker Punch/Mach Punch ?

RE: Pokemon VGC '10! - water dog - 05-25-2010

smeargle is so fucking cheap i wouldnt even be mad if it couldn't use focus sash but it CAN so no matter what its going to get dark void off god thats mother fucking stupid
aka i quit this bullshit because of smeargle thats seriously fucking retarded
like im not just saying this out of rage, that is legitimately overpowered. not even overpowered, its above that. with no sleep clause smeargle ends up putting everything to sleep eventually. its stupid as shit

RE: Pokemon VGC '10! - Cshad - 05-25-2010

Taunt leads really screw Smeargle over, and you can always gang up to break the sash and kill it. That should work. Or you can give one of your leads a lum berry just in case. Smeargle is so common you really do benefit from preparing for it, the VGC also lets you run six Pokemon so you can have two backups for your lead if you feel Smeargle isn't going to be there in your next match.

i feel like a retard that i didnt even think of either of those solutions especially considering i do have a taunter on my team

Rhymey, what the hell

I have a friend who *literally* had the same team as you

down to the Mewtwo/Hitmontop start and the Latias reserve

I don't remember if he had a Metagross too but
what

also
hmmmmm
I didn't know Clamperl could do that :.

nice shock factor

RE: Pokemon VGC '10! - Rhyme - 05-25-2010

damnit.

that ruins the individuality factor. D;

don't worry; he said that it didn't work out like he thought it would so he's using some other things now

RE: Pokemon VGC '10! - Cshad - 05-25-2010

I think you guys should be more concerned with what works then whats original. If it's original and works thats great, if it's not original and works for you thats fine too. It shouldn't have to be something completely 100% you and never ever seen before. In this VGC chances are someone is going to run the same Pokemon as you, but you shouldn't see someone using the same Pokemon and think "WHOOP WELP time to change that now" because it's really not that important :/.

I understand it's for fun and all that, but playing against other people is the part that makes this the most fun (at least for me).

RE: Pokemon VGC '10! - Rhyme - 05-25-2010

Agreed. I'd rather not go there just to get knocked out in the first round. I just can't even find a good set yet. I've tried Mewtwo abomasnow, everything that i've seen so far. I can't seem to successfully run anything everyone uses; so i'm going for originality (palkia hitmontop).

RE: Pokemon VGC '10! - water dog - 05-25-2010

whats the significance of hitmontop

RE: Pokemon VGC '10! - Rosencrantz - 05-25-2010

actually, I'm thinking about not going now

my buddies *just* told me today how far away this tourney is

yeah, no. If it was local, then *maybe* I would have gone. But as it goes, it's too far away :C

RE: Pokemon VGC '10! - Rhyme - 05-25-2010

Hitmontop actually out fake-outs Weavile with max speed from what i've seen on PO, chad
plus Low Kick or whatever for large legends

RE: Pokemon VGC '10! - Cshad - 05-25-2010

The only reason to use Hitmontop would be to abuse Technician. Weavile has a faster Fake Out btw.

Stop making Pokémon serious business, dammit.
