Yeah, this place is what I've stuck with the longest because it still holds my attention. I still give a shit about you guys.

metaru is actually completely right

all that hostility and stuff was the direct result of things that happened OUTSIDE of spamhaul (aka on skype)

you guys can deny it all you want, but that doesn't make it any less true. Even the two or three things involving me were the direct results of things that started in a skype chatroom.

i've been meaning to say it for a while now, but never really had a correct opportunity to do so. Spamhaul wasn't (and still isn't, even in its nonexistent state) the problem. It's people bringing their offsite bullshit onto the site and then dragging everyone else into it.

(fully expecting to get ripped by lunyka or 1up for posting this)

edit- not to mention that (as I've said millions of times before) mostly everyone that kept complaining about spamhaul being so bad were the ones contributing directly to whatever problems they thought were there.

RE: IMPORTANT- Attitude issues + forum restructure - triptych - 09-05-2010

removes spamhaul
forum almost instantly gets better
"spamhaul wasn't the problem"

yeah ok

RE: IMPORTANT- Attitude issues + forum restructure - Vipershark - 09-05-2010

except it didnt
literally nothing changed (aside from the board layout)

RE: IMPORTANT- Attitude issues + forum restructure - Alpha Six - 09-05-2010

Yeah, it did. Just because you don't notice it doesn't mean things didn't improve.

Either way it doesn't matter, I honestly can't believe people are actually complaining that the worst subforum on the site was removed.

You really want your precious shitty subforum back? Go make a board on JCink or InvisionFree about it, like all of us did back before Spamhaul was even a concept.

Then don't, thanks.

Has enough time Actually passed for us to judge if it'll work or not? It just happened, if anything we should wait and see if TSR gets better or stays how it has been.

Really? I mean Spamhaul had it's ups and it's downs but there are much more downs then just the whole Skypechat thing.

Yelling at Vipershark for saying anime, the whole "everyone is a bad poster" deal which happened more then one, spamhaul 2, times were people have just had a poor attitude, Skypekrew, Morgan and MFGG VS. Chad and Kori, and probably a few other situations I can't remember anymore.

Either way any of the so called "good" topics (I guess you can say the topics that have lasted a while.) could have been posted in GD without anyone getting in trouble too.

Edit: also gonna say, everyone getting on your ass about mentioning anime in every single post of yours way back when had nothing to do with skypechat.

RE: IMPORTANT- Attitude issues + forum restructure - Ton - 09-05-2010

It's a little premature to say getting rid of spamhaul helped already, so let's hold off the handjobs for a bit.

Bad guy from Reboot.

RE: IMPORTANT- Attitude issues + forum restructure - Nick - 09-06-2010

i'll be the first to say that yes, spamhaul was a terrible idea executed very poorly that led to absolutely no good

RE: IMPORTANT- Attitude issues + forum restructure - GrooveMan.exe - 09-07-2010

Hey uh,

I'm glad you're on board with this, but it does mean that your screen name will have to be changed. I'm changing it to Nick for you now (since you're probably locked out from changing it yourself); but you can PM me if you want it changed to something else that's sensible.

RE: IMPORTANT- Attitude issues + forum restructure - Maneko - 09-07-2010

This was a great step in the correct direction, by removing the main reason for all of these "Being an asshat is funny" posts and 'tudes.
The next step would be getting rid of that "I'm popular, so I get do do what I want and you don't get to say jack to me" atitude as well?
Because THAT one would be awesome.

RE: IMPORTANT- Attitude issues + forum restructure - triptych - 09-07-2010

Okay, we'll start by not listening to you, Mister Popular (owned @ u)
