Kirby's punch is pathetic :E
That wont do anything to anyone. Give it some force, same with mr ass pants.

Mr. Asspants' punch is fine since it is a weak attack. I'm not sure how to give Kirby's punch more force though.

idk

Anyway, I've decided to take a short break from this to make a custom Kirby animal helper KDL3 style.

A thought for Tingle is a Slingshot with Deku Nuts as projectiles. It would have the same time delay as Mewtwo's Down and B.

RE: 8 bit Nintendo fighting sprites - ~BRICKLIN~ - 08-30-2008

I see, I was waiting for that question to be answered.

Anyways these aren't bad, but Mario's punch and kick bother me. Tingle looks kinda weird, but you're not onto him yet anyways. Also, Link should be taller, he looks like young link.

RE: 8 bit Nintendo fighting sprites - Pik - 08-31-2008

Probably because it is, if he's basing it off the first Zelda.

RE: 8 bit Nintendo fighting sprites - Yuna - 08-31-2008

they are very good but ive seen better. still, keep up the great work!

RE: 8 bit Nintendo fighting sprites - Phantom Killah - 08-31-2008

I'll try animating Mario's punch and kick, and I'll change them if they don't look right, you're right about Tingle, and although I'm not specifically basing him off of the original Zelda, Link looks younger because he's been young more often than not.

How very good for you, and what helpful advice that will actually help him improve upon the current pieces right now.

Phantom, you might want to try more frames for these sprites, theirs no reason you cant, and I'm pretty sure 8bit doesn't have any animation restrictions.

And as for weapons, I know you have a limit on what you can do, so why not make them a bit bigger? It will give them more depth, and they wont looks so, er, flat.

And try adding more force into things like punches, whether thier a weak attack or not, I'm pretty sure you dont stand completely still when your throwing a punch in a fight.

RE: 8 bit Nintendo fighting sprites - Phantom Killah - 08-31-2008

hmm...
I'll try more frames and movement on the attacks.

RE: 8 bit Nintendo fighting sprites - Phantom Killah - 09-03-2008

ugggh Sad

I had just added an extra frame as well as some experimental motion blur to most of the attack animations of the characters I've already done when my baby brother crawled underneath the computer desk and hit the powerbar and turned the computer off and I didn't save.

notes:
The first frame in Mr. Frosty's kick needs to be changed
Need to get around to animating everything to see if it works or not
Need to add a frame to Link's high attack
In Link's low attack his whole head has to move, not just his eyes.
