Interesting, but what does that have to do with Hyrule Warriors or what Recme was saying?

It just lists which are "truly" compatible and do things other than give you random weapons.

- Link
- Toon Link
- Zelda
- Sheik

All do things.

If Toon Link gives me a playable Toon Link or Alfonzo, I will bite my tongue.

So they made the Amiibo functionality a little clearer:

http://www.nintendo.com/amiibo/line-up/#/hyrule_warriors

- Tap the Link™ amiibo figure to receive a new weapon to use in battle: the Spinner from The Legend of Zelda™: Twilight Princess game.
- Tap the Zelda™ amiibo figure once per day to get a weapon rated 3 stars or higher.
- Tap any other amiibo figure once per day to get a weapon rated 3 starts or lower, Rupee bonus or crafting material bonus.

Sorry for double posting, but info for the Twilight Princess Pack has been announced!

Short version: Twilight Midna is the new character, and the new weapon is her Twilight Mirror. Kinda disappointed that the new character and new weapon is one in the same, at least according to that Miiverse post, but there's probably other stuff in the new Adventure Map that hasn't been announced.

Super excited. One week after Smash.

Aonuma mentioned that one of Link's costumes lets him dress up as a certain character from the Zelda games. How much do you want to be it's Tingle?

Zelda Link confirmed.

Meh. Midna's imp form is way more interesting than her princess form.

Eh I was kinda disappointed when I heard they were doing a Twilight Princess pack even back then. We already have plenty of characters from there. Oh well. We'll be getting a Majora's Mask pack too!

RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - Kriven - 11-18-2014

I'm a little disappointed that they chose Princess Midna (and calling her "Twili Midna" comes with its own set of "say what?" since... I mean, she's a Twili whether she's cursed or not. It doesn't make much sense) as the "new character" when there were other choices who aren't just alternate forms of an already represented character. Agitha already gives us a look into the abilities available to less-established characters, and I was looking forward to seeing that kind of creativity again.

On the other hand, I've always wanted to see Princess Midna get more exposure in one form or another. I mean, for the whole game Midna is trapped in her imp form with supposedly limited abilities. So I've always been curious about what she can do once freed of her curse. Now I'll get to know.

RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - Jermungandr - 11-18-2014

Calling her form Twili makes sense to me. In her cursed form she's referred to as an imp. This really isn't any different from referring to Link's forms as "Wolf Link" and "Human Link" to differentiate them.

RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - NICKtendo DS - 11-18-2014

That the new character would've been Twili Midna was no surprise. Her playstyle makes me curious. However, I'm likely to try her out for a couple of rounds and go back to Link. And Link gets a new outfit, so yay!

RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - TomGuycott - 11-20-2014

Apparently this was posted on the HW facebook:

"The second DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors will be available on 11/27! In this pack, you’ll get Twili Midna as a playable character, a new weapon for Zelda, a Twilight Princess themed Adventure Mode map, and two additional costumes including the Postman costume for Link!"

I wonder if the weapon will actually be TP related for Zelda, or whether the new weapon might be some other reference to her, like the Phantoms from Spirit Tracks.

Also... kind of excited for the Postman costume. It sounds silly and fun. xD

RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - E-Man - 11-20-2014

Not Tingle, but I'll take it anyway! Besides, the guy's a hoot in Twilight Princess!

RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - Kosheh - 11-20-2014

So I can play as Hot Midna and look like a total dork while playing Wifebeater And Sandals Link?

i'm 100% okay with this DLC
