Oh I don't mean look the same stylistically, just design wise. For example, Locke from the same game; his artwork depicts him with a bandanna that covers the top of his head, but his sprite just turns it into a simple headband. But I agree, it would be interesting to see a game done in same style in this day and age, since they've more than the power to accomplish that.

Considering that she came from the same game where Agahnim's cloak is green instead of red (the kind of mistake you would expect from a colorblind person), her sprite could have been a lot worse.

You know who I want? Motherfucking Kafei.
Come on, he was the very first playable character in the series besides Link.
What'd he do? I dunno... he could be a thief like character, since he's kinda nimble and wears a fox mask. Though it'd be kinda ironic considering he holds a grudge towards Sakon, a thief who stole his wedding mask.
Still he'd be pretty awesome.

So far all the characters are coming from Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword... some of my least favorite Zelda games.

The older Zelda games weren't exactly character-heavy though.
I mean, yeah, every game had its (really small) share of important characters who could potentially get in but the vast majority of characters in the games were just random NPC number whatever.
WindWaker was where characterization stepped it up (or arguably Majora's Mask I guess) and it's only natural that the stuff after that would have a lot more fleshed out characters to choose from.
That being said, I hope Ralph from Oracle of Ages gets in but he wasn't from Hyrule (and it was a Capcom game) so that's probably really unlikely...
