RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - Cobalt Blue - 06-04-2011

pokemon G/S/C overworld sprites arent topdown.

zelda link to the past is topdown, bomberman to an extent is topdown, pokemon G/S/C buildings and maps are topdown.

this is just an edit of the generic trainer sprite with added colors and some unreadable features.

also PLEASE use a more neutral color like a gray as your background color, for the sake of not burning our/your retinas and work on a more contrast/readbility friendly enviroment

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - verifiaman - 06-04-2011

You're right about the megaman sprite, when i was attempting to make megaman in the g/s/c style after i saw naruto and bleach characters in that style. But i actually made those enemies from scratch

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - Cobalt Blue - 06-05-2011

...so?

they're still wrong.

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - verifiaman - 06-05-2011

So redo the trainer and enemy sprites from scratch?

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - Cobalt Blue - 06-05-2011

this whole thing is pointless.

if you still want to try to emulate megaman characters in a topdown fashion, you might as well use games that do use said point of view and actually not edit sprites from them as a base, but instead do them from scratch.

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - verifiaman - 06-05-2011

Well aside from the tips, this has been a pointless endeavor. Maybe i ought to stick to ripping sprites

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - Cobalt Blue - 06-05-2011

oh come on, dont quit just because of this.

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - verifiaman - 06-05-2011

[Image: dustman.png] Its supposed to be dustman. Now i'm just going slow and seeing if people can identify them

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - Garamonde - 06-05-2011

I can identify him fine, and I would've thought it was him even if you hadn't said (yeah die-hard Mega Man fan here).

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - Cobalt Blue - 06-05-2011

make all the robot masters following that sprite's theme. all of them. but only the front facing ones.

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - Chris2Balls [:B] - 06-05-2011

i like the second one. what is it?

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - verifiaman - 06-05-2011

Dark man from Megaman 5 http://megaman.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Man

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - Garamonde - 06-05-2011

I don't think Centaur Man's tail should be sticking up that high.

At first I thought it was hair.

RE: Megaman & enemy sprites pokemon G/S/C style - Rakia - 06-05-2011

Well based off the image you provided, here's some tips to fix Dark Man, although I'm not sure you have a consistent style going yet, but it's a good start.
Let's say that Dark Man has three parts, his head (the uh..semicircle glass part), his body/arms, and his leg.
You kinda have this seperation already, however because it's really small, the information gets lost.
Your best bet is to probably expand the body right now, cause it kinda looks like his head and body are one shape.
