This will decompress the .arc files, apparently.

Thanks for the link, but unfortunately I still don't even know how to extract the .arc from the iso. Sick
Oh that's easy as pie - get something like Daemon Tools and just mount it like a normal ISO file!

RE: How do you rip Models - Garamonde - 12-18-2011

Well, I've got the ISO, found this via Googling, and I extracted the .CSO contents with it. Upon doing so I find a few folders and the following file formats within them:

.PMF
.SFO
.AT3 (I read that the audio is in here, if possible I'd like to submit some sounds)
Two .BINs titled "BOOT" and "EBOOT"
.DAT
.LOC
.PRX

Even if there was no way at all to get to the models (IDEK where they are), I at least want to get some 2D graphics or sounds (but I really want the models).

I'll keep an eye out for programs that will work with that game. Wink

So I found out how to take models and textures out of TMNT 2 Battle Nexus ( also the soundeffects, look foward to that! ), however they're not in their T-posed, what do you do to make the models in a T-pose to deem them usable, I'm a amateur at modeling Shy .

here is Drako, he's my favorite character, ignore the link name lulz.

I'm assuming the models are missing their bones and are automatically in their game poses taken from DXripper.
yeah they are missing their bones, any solutions would be great c:.

You'd need to manually position the mesh which can be easy or difficult depending on how complex it is, or how dynamic it is. I've spent many hours taking 'dramatic' models and turning them into T-pose, it can be a real pain in the bum.

Generally I do my very best to straighten out one side of it, left half for example, and make it as perfect as I possibly can. I then copy/duplicate the left half, flip it on the X-axis and merge it to the left. If there are features unique to a side (like, a mutated/larger arm) then this won't work, of course.

want to Rip Project Diva And Dream C Club PSP Game :/

RE: How do you rip Models - Maxim - 06-13-2013

I have a question about NDS model ripping. I managed to open the nsbmd file in two different model viewers, "nsbmd-tool" and "console tool". nsbmd-tool displays the model with errors and is supposed to have a model dump option by pressing the "scroll lock"-key, but it does nothing. console tool displays the model correctly, but it's a java application, which means dxripper and 3dviaprintscreen won't work. Any suggestions?

For Ripping ps2 models you can try TexMod http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide_to_modifying_in-game_graphics tutorial http://www.vg-resource.com/showthread.php?tid=20541 this can be useful for people or for gamecube games try via printscreen. Via printscreen rips the texture and model.

Anyone know how to unpack .mfp files? Trying to rip models from Gurren Lagann DS.

RE: How do you rip Models - Mystie - 05-13-2014

Does anyone know how to rip models from these games?
  • Madworld (Wii)
  • Pikmin (GCN)
  • Both Sonic & All-Stars Racing games (PC)
  • Tiny Brains (PC)
  • Whacked! (Xbox)

I've taken a look at the files for all of these games, and doing Google searches on how to rip their filetypes brings up nothing.

For those wondering what filetype each game uses:
  • Madworld uses .dat files just like other Platinum games, although Noesis can't open the files. (I'm guessing this game uses a different decryption method than the games from Bayonetta onwards?)
  • Pikmin uses .mod files.
  • The Sonic & All-Stars Racing series uses .m00 and .m01 packages.
  • Tiny Brains uses .upk files, which are Unreal Engine files, but every time I try to run these files through Umodel, it always encounters errors.
  • Whacked! uses .str and .pak packages.

RE: How do you rip Models - The Prawn - 05-21-2014

So I'm trying to rip models from Pinball FX2 on Steam (the Plants vs. Zombies board, to be specific), and when I extract the .pxp file the files are contained in, they're all .pxt, .pxm, and .pxa files. I'm gonna assume they are texture, model, and animation files respectively, but I'd like to know how to extract from it.

The extractor for the .pxp files can be found here: http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=10182

I've seen someone rip from it before, so it'd be really nice to know how they did it anyway.
