Suggestions
I get why you'd like this but the purpose of the queue is to ensure only quality content makes it to the site and showing pending content would defeat that. Plus, the majority of them would have no icons and it would wind up making the page as a whole look relatively sloppy. The reason we do it for games is because we need the original submitter to be able to get back to the form if they intend to submit more than one thing and that would be impossible otherwise if you didn't click the "Add Another" button.

Something that annoys me as I'm slightly efficiency-oriented, is that when I'm batch-submitting my sheets, is that I have to re-elect "new section" and type the same name however many times.

Is it possible to put the pending section names into that menu as well? I suppose a staff member could always remove the ones that don't work-out, right?

This isn't exactly a top priority, but I'm thinking at it from the perspective of this theoretically is "Easy" to do, right? The section names and crap are obv in a database file, aren't they?

They are in the database but not in the table that's referenced when creating that dropdown. I could probably write a separate query to check the pending table for text-based section names and display them as well but it's not quite as straightforward as you might think and was originally decided against when developing the feature.

I'm going to post my suggestion again since it seems like it got buried.

What about possibly adding different levels of payment? Like say $10 dollars a month? or $2 dollars a month?

I may get to a point were my financial situation is better and I may want to donate more than the default $5 dollars a month.

The VG Resource is like a very close friend to me, I want to give back to that friend instead of take from him.

That suggestion did indeed get lost amongst the rest. I definitely appreciate the sentiment behind it but different levels of payment imply different levels of access and that brings us back to locking away features for paying members which is something we don't want to do. If you can suggest features that fit within our requirements for your alternate payment options, we may consider them but as it stands at the moment, there's really not a lot of room to change the system.

Well, iirc, your original suggestion had an example minimum amount of $2

Why not a donation kind of thing with a minimum amount of $2 , and if so desired or necessary, a max amount. (like say, $50, just for this example)

The problem I see with what you're suggestion is that this creates a "payment levels" system, or can. This could create a division in the donators/supporters, especially if some of the perks are re-arranged to suit said set-up.

so, basically, could have:
$2 - no ads
$5 - no ads, submission priority (basically, of all pending submissions, yours are processed, first. Wouldn't impact if they're approved, just how long it takes)
$10 - no ads, submission priority, private chatroom
etc...

This is just an example of how a payment levels thing could work.
It's bad enough that giving perks to donators/supporters can create a divide in the entire userbase, but to take it a step further and divide the donators/supporter? nope...

And, sure, you could offer same perks to anyone, but then the ones paying more might get upset because they feel like they deserve more.

TBH, on a borderline unrelated note, I partially agree with the new MC EULA in that I dislike incentivized donations for this exact reason. so-called "non-supporters" kinda get screwed. This is one reason why free-to-play has an alternate term: "pay-to-win". premium players tend to get too much advantage.

EDIT: dammit Petie, got yours posted before mine! XD

What about auto sort game submissions? instead of having to select the right letter every single time you add a new game.

Well, I have no idea how the code works, here, but it's MOSTLY straightforward, in concept...

In most cases, you simply would see what letter the game name begins with (simple as referring to the first index of the string variable the game name would be stored in) .

However, there might be a problem when...THIS happens:
The <game name>
A <game name>
etc...

Then again, i recall a thread from last year about fixing this with the already existing games, so maybe it can be fixed in the kind of feature you are suggesting.

But again, i do not know the ups and downs of how this site works behind the scenes.

This pretty well sums up why I don't think multiple supporter tiers are a good idea.

I'm not sure I entirely follow what you're asking for here.

When submit a game you need to select the letter where the game goes.

So basically I was thinking you could add a bypass to this with a auto sort function so it doesn't matter where you submit the game it will be alphabetized.

You're talking about when you add a new game? I'm pretty sure it does that already. It doesn't matter what letter you are under when you hit "Add New Game", it will always show up under the correct letter after you submit. Heck, you don't even have to be under the correct console when you hit the button, since you can change that in the drop down box in the actual "Add New Game" page.

I guess you learn something new everyday. Well thanks, that's a relief.

I would like a feature to only get acceptance PM's when a game is approved, this way you can know if a game is approved but don't have to be
bombarded with tons of sound approval messages.

Hmm... I suppose I could break the notification option apart and let you disable PMs for games, sheets, and revisions individually. Is this something that others would find useful as well?

I'd say that it would make sense, I can see people who would like the preference.

You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth

But most of all, nothing couldn't be solved when I'm with you
