I think what Blorsal means is that Talonflame is literally just the word "talon" and "flame" glued together, while most names fuse two words that describe the pokemon together. It just doesn't seem that creative, and (in my opinion) it doesn't flow that well as a name.

Sure, there are other names that are bad as well, but it just means that Talonflame might add to the list.

Porygon is literally "Polygon" with a japanese pronounciation though. Mr. Mime is even worse. The name is fine.

Vivillon looks even neater than before, I'm liking the pixely confetti theme they have going
Noivern is pretty cool, it's neat that we have a wyvern now, although it feels they are trying to suggest the noise thing too much in the ears but that's just me
the lobster looks EVEN BETTER now, are all the Water-Types going to be awesome this Gen. or what sdfddfs
I couldn't tell what the seahorse was at first but now that I can see it better it's pretty cool and interesting

I would love for this to be true.

Hopefully it will also get a neat secondary typing to accompany this. Electric/Fighting/Steel are all good candidates.

My problem with "Talonflame" is the way I have to pause when going from the "N" to the "Fl" sounds. It feels hard and unnatural.

Yeah my issue with Pokemon names is not if its "clever" but if its easy to pronounce and catchy. Mr. Mime and Slowpoke may not be "clever" but you certainly can remember them, and pronounce them very well which is what was important.

Things like Cofagrigus or Alomomola are horrible names.
