Zelda: OOT Comparison
#46
well in my opinion, i'd say this is a biiiiiig + for the nintendoers... the re-making of this thing is going to be excellent, and of course they will change some of the styles of fighting and other stuff, cuz they all know, if you don't like it, just play the original....

but i've been aching for Nintendo to make OOT for the regular ds, (keep old graphics on) but now they're doin it for the 3ds, so i'm happy Genki ^_^ cuz when it comes out i can bring oot wherever i go! Genki ^_^

but i love how they are gonna make the rooms actual 3d instead of a 2d pic like in the old one, (if you've seen the bazaar comparison in nintendo power, you'll know what i'm talking about) wait... the bazaar is 3d right? i forgot! Sad but ya, i just have to say, i'm excited for this Genki ^_^

oh, and sorry for rambling! Shy

I hate to bring up Donkey Kong Country Returns again (maybe) but this Master Quest reminds me of the super hard Mirror Challenge in that game. Yeah after you beat the Golden Temple, you unlock this Mirror Challenge which is not only the entire game mirrored but you also have only ONE HEART! That's one hit and you're dead. Plus you can't use items, and Diddy won't be around to help you.

Yeah it does sound similar to Master Quest in some ways.

To play with the minds of kids who proabably haven't remembered everything about this game that and to give a simulation of a new experience. When in all honesty it's just everything in different directions.

No it isn't. Master Quest changed the format of every dungeon. OoT3D's Master Quest is including that AND mirroring the world to add even more challenge. I see no problem here.

Ah I see. I didn't realize they reformatted the dungeons. I thought they just mirrored the game while adding more enemies and you take more damage.

I don't think you take more damage or anything

thy just changed everything to make the puzzles harder and added new enemies where they weren't before

No I read that you take more damage now too.

Why are they mirroring it though? I hadn't heard of this before. Source?

They're probably mirroring it so it'll be different than the original Master Quest. Makes sense to me, personally.

there's nothing wrong with mirroring it, if anything it'll be refreshing (even if just by a little bit)
