Finally finished extracting all 804 folders of sprites from Pokemon Ranger 3 (including attack effects, objects, random effects, etc.), so now all I have to do is organize them into sheets. Also, I'm about halfway done with extracting all the Henry Hatsworth sprites so expect some more rips from that game in about a week(ish).

It depends on the game. Most (if not all) the sprites are stored in .nclr, .ncgr and .ncer format for palette, tile and sprites, respectively. Those are found by opening the game in Tahaxan and dumping them. Games like Ivy the Kiwi and the Cooking Mama series have those formats in folders as themselves, while most games have them stored in .bin files or other compressed formats, which you would then have to decompress. From there you would just have to use Oil of Vitriol or GlycerinMapViewer (both from Barubary) to get the sprites out of the files.

Anyways, that's the basic gist of what I know.

Went over to the tSR facebook page yesterday and noticed that someone requested Roostar be ripped, so I decided to get back into working on the game. Not sure if he checks the forums, so if someone could send the link to him via the facebook page that would be awesome.

Heh heh...I just played through the entirety of Legendary Starfy on desmume...then I realized things aren't rippable from it's save-states...CURSES!

Well, the Ranger pokemon sprites are winding down to the last few sheets. After that are the rest of the NPCs and the attack effects, and a few other random things.

Oh, and I'm planning on picking back up on some of the older games I ripped from to get a few things I missed, but if there's any games you wanna see ripped from I'll try and take a crack at it.

Which Pokemon are left?

Kanto starters, the rest of the legendaries, riolu and lucario, hippopotas and hippowdon, sneasel and weavile, and snover and abomasnow. It may seem like a lot (or not ), but it should only take the next few days.
