I'm currently working on more music files to populate it. It's flexible, you can just add songs to the global variable objects, or remove them!, and then restart the game and no more code is needed to implement/remove them!

I just need to find the motivation to finish my Mario model so I can rig him up, ready him for the engine, and resume gameplay scripting.

You make yourself the characters models ? Because otherwise I think you can find easily already rigged models. If you want I have one from MKAGPDX (MK Arcade GP DX) that I found directly in game contents rigged in XSI Softimage format.
Yes. I'm trying to reduce, as much as possible, use of ripped assets.

Super Smash Bros. Crash is gonna include Melee's airdodge, since Feud is just gonna be a slow-paced bull-fuckery!

This game would be worse than Sonic 06, since i'd rather play Sonic 06 then this bullshit!

And if you think Feud is gonna get lots more likes then Crash, think again.

I gladly would also, but I'm waiting for Sma5h to come out for a month. But I can say I have 2 partially playable characters, prop generation, animated such props, a working CSS, etc.
Lmao I'm a little late to this but looking up at the posts - if you want people to actually play your game, dunking on other Smash fangame developers is not the way to go about it. That just makes you look bad and only causes the Smash fangame community to talk about you behind your back - especially if your other crowning achievement is "We've got SSF2 developers joining our Discord" - you know, that one Smash fangame that completely overshadows anything else. I'm pretty sure if you tried that on the SSF2 forums you'd be banned nearly instantly.
Protip: Showing humility for your competitors and even networking with them instead of badmouthing them makes you look more professional as a business/freelancer. SSF2 devs do this both online and at events like Apex, and for that I still can respect its development team (I'm a former SSF2 dev actually haha)

If I've anything positive to say about Feud (besides the fact that you're trying to start one for no reason, CS), it's that it's being developed in Unity and is using 3D models. Not a lot of other Smash fangames I've heard of can really say that, and I'm actually pretty excited to see Tabuu's progress once he's got enough assets ready for a preview video.


Btw, is this the same Crash you're talking about the same one that was developed for DS, or is this a different one? (because it seems like there's been like 3 fangames by now at this point that have already used "Crash" in their title)

And since I'm waiting for Smash 5 to be out for at least a month, to reduce chances for a DMCA strike (since now's the worst time for that because of Smash 5) I've got a lot of time to focus on the work instead of procrastinating lmao. I'm really excited to show you guys when I have enough done for said preview. This fangame is my baby, it has been since Brawl's release! I can't wait to see it come to life more! Genki ^_^ Plus it's a great way to prepare myself to make commercial indie games!

And I have nothing but respect and deep admiration / idolization for developers of Crusade and Flash 2. They actually inspired me to better and continue mine!
Ya see Kosh, it's actually a coincidence, I couldn't come up with a more specific name for my game, so the name "Crash" is all I could think about.
I know you're worried about getting taken down by a certain company's legal division. Have you considered simply changing the "Super Smash Bros." portion of the title? That might help you to fly under the radar a little bit.
