Looks great overall, but the background color could've stood to be different, or the sprite needs an outline, because it blends right in.  This is exactly why I don't like outlineless sprites XD.
Now that you mentioned the outline-less of it, the hair on the top of the head doesn't move as she moves

An early WIP of some Dark Souls stuff.
I made this using a 3d model animated at a low framerate and rendered at a low resolution with cel shading. Then I added some motion effects by hand. I wanted to get opinions and critiques from actual sprite artists Smile

Make more of this stuff.
The outlines and face could do with being drawn by hand. Otherwise, I love it. Been considering trying the same thing.
It's pretty jaggy and the shading needs a lot of touching up but that works for a base.
