Hell, this season pass is even a better deal than the Mario Kart 8 one they announced a while back. DLC is good when you price it fairly and provide a substantial amount of content, and it seems that Ninty's one of the few major game companies who realizes this.

...too bad my interest for this game is almost nil. My recent playing of a demo of the game at Best Buy just soured me on the entire thing.
It's only 15 euro's in europe for the whole package, seems fair.

Also if that majora's mask pack means we are getting a playable skull kid in January, then i would even pay the double price for that.

buying this DLC somewhere this week, enjoying the main game now, it's a great game i love it.

I hope there actually ARE more crossover games in the future. I freakin' love them.

That link appears to be dead now.

Cry
Derp, maybe it wasn't even real to begin with. I did definitely read the article on there, and it was basically just "Hey, I would love to work with Mario".

Okay, honest to god, when I post the URL on the forum it doesn't work. When I copy and paste it from where I found out about it, it fucking works. What the hell?

That's where I found out about it.
Well, the story is still there on the site, but for some reason clicking that link causes a "%E2%80%8B" to be inserted between the m and the a in "mario", which breaks the link.

Whether that's on our side or Nintendo Life's, well, I don't know. If you just copy and paste the url, or remove that bit after you click through, it should work just fine.

The article that they cited though is right here, though, if you wanna dig for the quotes.

As for the article itself, I don't know. Zelda was obviously the most natural fit for the series mechanics, and I'm not quite sure what else would fit, other than Fire Emblem (in fact, I'd say that's a smaller leap than Zelda was).

As for a Smash Bros Dynasty Warrior. I feel like Dynasty Warriors works the best with at least a cohesive aesthetic going for it. I mean, sure, the Gundam Dynasty Warriors games are like, crossovery as all get-out, but at least they're all giant robots. Not to say I wouldn't welcome them to trying a Smash/Warriors combo, but I feel like it'd get dragged down by trying to smush together too many incredibly different properties.
I welcome our new Nintendo Warriors money-absorbing superfranchise. Bring it on.

Actually I've kind of fantasized about a Smash Warrior/Mario Warrior since before I knew about the Warriors games, so if the producer can turn those desires into something tangible, I'm so very on board.
I want to see a Super Smash Bros Tactics.
Didn't Kamiya say that Wonderful 101 was going to feature a bunch of all-star Nintendo characters at one point? Something like that would be swell.
can we just start having nintendo crossover games in every genre? that'd be swell

i'd play a nintendo all-stars platformer

Nintendo was offended by Mario walking across a bridge of Toads in the concept art and told them to use original characters.

I don't even understand Nintendo anymore. They let Peach use Toad as a meat sheild but that was too much?

Also Next Level Games was going to make Super Mario Spikers, a volleyball followup to Super Mario Strikers Charged. It got canceled when there was too much wrestling involved... What?
I've been thinking it might be a good idea if Nintendo transformed the Mario spin-off games into Super Smash games, but not too sure how well that would go over...
that would severely turn Smash into a pointless cash cow

Smash prints money like they are right now because it's a franchise on its own at this point, but imagine if you started doing a crossover sports game. Platformer game. Racing game. This will feel like desperate need of money, and lower the whole impact and feel of SSB.

SSB is a celebration game and they need to make it look and feel special, and if they started to release a smash everything then the special feeling would wear out fairly quickly.

I looked at the stuff about that and it seemed to me like it ended up turning into a wrestling/brawler game with volleyball tacked on rather than a volleyball game with combat features.
Maybe that was just my interpretation from the concept art and specifically what was shown, but it seemed a lot like it was Mario Game Show Deathmatch: Volleyball Edition than mario volleyball with powerups.

Imagine an RPG with all these guys.  Balancing movesets is one thing, but imagine trying to balance stats between all the characters.
