Quote:Shovel Knight is a sweeping classic action adventure game with awesome gameplay, memorable characters, and an 8-bit retro aesthetic created by Yacht Club Games. You play as the eponymous Shovel Knight, a small knight with a huge quest. Shovel Knight has come to this valley with two goals: to defeat the evil Enchantress and save his lost beloved. He wields a ShovelBlade; a multipurpose weapon whose techniques have now been lost to the ages. Always honest and helpful, Shovel Knight is a shining example of the code of Shovelry: Slash Mercilessly and Dig Tirelessly!

However, between Shovel Knight and his beloved stands a cadre of villainous knights. These terrible foes, known as The Order of No Quarter, have been dispatched to prevent Shovel Knight from reaching the Enchantress at any cost!

This game is pretty damn awesome so I felt like spreading the word of it for anyone who may not know about it.
This game is so fucking incredible.

I'd explode if anything at all from this game was represented in Smash Bros in some way. I know there's no chance of that happening, but this game is that good.

I'm not even gonna spoil anything under spoiler tags, just play this game.
If my Netherlands internet works the way I want it to, I would like to download this gem for myself!

Considering that the main character can hop around on his shovel like a pogo stick, you think that the developers played a little Ducktales while making this game?
I literally knew nothing about this game when it came up on launch but oh man it kind of really blew my mind. Great title, it's a 3DS Must Have, really.
I really, really want this game, but I'm holding off until I've completed a couple things in my backlog first.
This is on my to get list for sure. Just gotta raise the little money required to get it through commissions on DA~
I'm torn between buying this for Steam, 3DS, or Wii U. Not only that, but I don't have the sufficient money in either my Steam account or my Nintendo Network account, and I'm very short on money right now. (my job STILL hasn't sent me any money yet)
I recommend the 3DS version to everybody. Not only do I think that the game looks way better on the 3DS (ignoring the actual 3D which I never use for any game) but the touch screen allows you to quickly change items on the fly without pausing which I think makes it a whole lot more fun.

And sure, the Wii U version also has a touch screen, but since you have to either look down or hold the pad up to use it, it is not nearly as seamless. Plus I just feel like it makes for a great portable title.
