EX mode for this remake would probably get designs and stuff from Revenge of the King. So Masked Dedede would be in EX mode.

But alas, let's push that aside and finish the main game. I changed some Dedede a bit and I tried animating him.

Added Puffy. Not entirely sure how to handle his shades, or if the pallete closest to his art really is the best. It probably is, but I added two alts after anyways (the first alt was what I made the sprite with originally before recoloring to proper colors so I already had it.)

I think it might be time for me to try Whispy or some background tiles.

This thing is tiny
It also looks like an edit of the original one :/
Hmm, it is too small, heh somehow I didn't notice that. Will update soon.
ehehehe still a wip but ya, kinda went overboard with the style but I guess someone can simplify it Shy

Made a Star Block and a Bomb Block.

Dude, those look really neat!
Is this project still going?

Added hurt sprites and alternative inhale sprites.
Recolorme's been out of commission lately; I'm sure the project will pick up once he's back on a computer.
I like the hurt sprites you have, but I think the inhale looks better just black for the sake of simplicity. I really like this project!
I actually like the tongue there but... I guess they are intended to be simpler...
I don't know...it just seems really strange to me. The red as a buffer does work well, looking at it again, though.
I was messing around with a swallow animation.

Looks odd to me for some reason... I dunno.
It's not fast enough!
While you have fluid motion, the frame delay should not be constant.
Really I think you could remove the second frame, and make the third one go lower. Then, have the last one be a recoil, or return back.
Generally a fast action has 3 parts:
Build up --> Blur/Hit --> Recoil
Right now you don't have any sort of recoil, and the hit part is too slow, so you lose impact.

Take a look at this version from KniD. Look at the impact!
