Ristar is still there. He's only visible in the single-player modes.
Unless they actually did wholly take him out. In which case, I'm not updating my 360 ever again.

Big needs more love. Especially since his previous and current voice actors are known for playing badasses.

I think this was a response to the complaint "too many sonic characters!". (they cut at least like three in favor for ms. unlikable who I never liked anyway before her conformation, three dudes high on Bonk! and a movie protagonist based off the original donkey kong).
...Which I fail to see why. Oh ristar's still here, he's just the starting gun guy.
I got a feeling that some of Big's playable data is still left in the game.

again, whatrs wrong with danica. she has a great car and the tf2 characters are literally going to draw a huge load of players into the game.
Thing is.. She wasn't very well received when she made her grand entrance, and to many feels VERY out of place since it's an all-star game featuring nearly every character ever made (same can be said for others, but again.. it's another Princess Elise scenario here).
Adding a Segaga character would be a lovely reminder as to why there hasn't been a sony exclusive DLC guest character yet.. or am I missing something?
No character has been dropped in favor of promotional characters. Danica, Ralph and TF all have been funded seperately.
Steve Lycett already explained on the SEGA forums that no character has been cut, but rather a new roster was made from the ground up. Some characters that appeared in the first game didn't make the cut. Some made more sense than others. It's a more complicated process than most people think.
The reason Steve set the DLC challenge is that Sumo Digital wanted to make a bigger roster, but budget held them back. 4 characters were even added on their own initiative (MeeMee, Gum, Reala and Pudding). Let's hope Steve can convince SEGA to fund them for additional content. Just 2 more days until the poll is over.
The game is so well made, i'd rather have more tracks to prevent what made the first game so limited.

Death Egg came with Metal Sonic last game, so when characters do get offered as DLC, stages being added to them to make packs isn't far fetched.
So Metal will only be available via DLC or in the special version, right? Is that version out yet?
