It is a complete useable tileset to create levels (suitable for use in a program to create games for example).

In comparison to the sheet "everything":
  • Added background elements pyramids, totems, mountains, bamboo, etc..
  • The tiles are aligned and locked to a grid 8 x 8 px
  • Breakdown by level or by type (platforms, blocks, triggers, backgrounds ...)
  • Real palette: ie the original gfx include only 3 colors + alpha. The "white" is actually a Trasparency (white screen) so it can be a solid color. Playing the game, you will notice that transparency when overlaying some sprites.
To make sure it is complete and well organized, I prefer to use it in my earlier project (where I am fully and faithfully recreate every levels in OGMO Editor). And it reveals potential oversights, or provisions that would prove impractical to use.
Tell me if you think the current layout fairly consistent.
For the moment I reproduce levels w1-1, 2, 3
Later, I might add creatures and bosses in this paper, except in a sheet. (usually because it is another grid 16 x 16 px)
Tile sets are always awesome to have. Big Grin
Nice! Also if you want to, you can update my Bonus Game sheet. That's just one of my oldest sheets on the site.

oh wow those are lots of images!! i would have just ripped the parts and not the full animation because people that make games would have to seperate them anyways? but it's really cool your doing these!! Cool
To be clear, I do not produce these pictures for spriters-resource.com, but for my own project needs. I also take other stuff available on internet, then I dont hesitate to share my own resources.
For these sequences, in context of game development, it's true that it would not be employed in state. Moreover, separate elements are already available here. Objectives of such sequences is measured frame by frame motions, reactions and rates of each element. These details could be reproduced empirically approximate or random. For my project I intend to establish as accurately as possible.
...But if you aren't ripping them for tSR, why are you submitting them to it?
why not ? I just explain my main motivation.
If it helps someone, it's worthwhile to submit. Up to you and see if you want to keep it here.
I dont do it directly to TSR, so if in this thread I am asked something I would ask for too much extra work, I have resolved to decline, rather than say "yes ASAP" and return the thing later or never...
We'll probably wait until the tile set sheet is done and upload that since we don't really take sheets like the mushroom/? block bumping.
I'm back, since a while, and still working on my project (remake SML game as a shoot'em up)

Here are different title screens:
normal, hard-mode (icon change), complete (select stage)

Here the tileset (version 1.0), only blocks and backgrounds, level-design stuffs.

This tilesheet do not include sprites from entities (mario, ennemies, boss, projectiles...)
For myself, I plan to collect them in a separate file (spritesheet), in order to better organize according to their roles in the game (states, animation...)
I think putting together tiles and sprites in the same file is too messy to be useful.
