Edit Time with Finn and Jake Vic and ... well I'm alone right now so I guess it's just me



Basically what I tried to fix here:
- reduce some of the jaggies you had going on (mainly caused by banding/sub-optimal AA)
- addressing the feet, since you said you had some problems with that - rounded them out, got rid of the banding on the one to our left and moved it to the right by 1px, and extended them below his body by adding some black pixels (blaxels?)
- moving the arms down by 1px to give him a slightly more relaxed pose
- trying to make his face more cheerful by giving the eyes a bit more depth and widening his smile (the V shaped one you had before made him look like he just pooped a little)
- added some colored outlines on the top and the left foot to make the sprite "pop", since pure black outlines tend to make stuff look flat

Hope this helps in some kind of form.

but yes the blocky feet were bothering me and the face was a bit dull.

Lol, see following my little ( ' . ' ) Idea. I told you it would look nicer. The arm looks funny because you didn't follow Vic's example. It is a great example.

honestly the face you had before looked better. it now either looks like he's surprised or derpy or like a ghost. it should be a slightly broader smile. Kirby is also known for his happy faces too.

well, I meant a little broader like in Vic's example so it won't look like he... yea.

Kirby never wears a smile in idles in the games though, except few exceptions. I like the dot mouth.

To be honest, It doesn't look like he's pooping...

...well, to me. I don't like the way he smiles in Vic's example. He looks creepy with that smile. I dunno, I liked the way my mouth was because I thought a small smile was cute! Anyways, I'll just stick with the ( ' . ' ) one. Since most of his games do that.

I totally agree. Not only does it look good, Kirby has that expression because he's like a little curious child (TV show). I've never seen Kirby with a smile that doesn't have his mouth open; only in few official art and many fan art. His frowns are closed mouth though.

Besides, a normal linear smile on Kirby looks creepy lol.

Then keep it! I never said that the way I did the smile (which is, now that I look back it, indeed a bit creepy and not entirely fitting) is the best way to do it, it was a mere suggestion

Honestly, just play around with the face till you find one you really like and stick with it, no need to strictly follow peoples advice if you're not satisfied with the outcome.

I was only providing examples since you didn't seem to know if he used it in games or not.
I just think it looks adorable and sweet.
