Aw, that's too bad, RTB. Oh well.

I might do some more CF, but don't expect anymore from me until later in the week. Are you still gonna try ripping Helga again?

EDIT: I'm claiming Tiny.
I'll give her a shot. In good news, Tiny uses the same sprites for both Clay Fighter and CF2.

Ya, but when I finish Tiny I'd only keep it in the Clayfighter 1 section. I bet ya that the 2nd game has a few extra poses that we may not be aware of. Let's focus on the first game characters first.
I think he's exactly the same since he was a last-minute addition to CF2, but a little double checking never hurt anyone.
Well for one, I know for sure that the 2nd game has big mugshots and more pallets, but I'll be sure to check that out as soon I finish.
Never mind about what I said earlier, I give up way too easily. <_>

Found a few values which will make MvC2 ripping easy to do. Scaling, Y Position, and even a value to cycle through the sprites. I'm set. Big Grin
Dazz and Insanius..... allright XD
Thank you very much for attention
good lucky for you
Ton, I just checked, and it looks like Tiny from the 2nd game looks a lot different than in the first game.

See?

Ah, I see what you mean. Kinda like it is with the whole Clay Fighter 63 1/3 and Sculptor's Cut sprites, where they're the same images but scaled differently (and therefore different sprites because of that).

(EDIT: However, Clay Fighter and Clay Fighter: Tournament Edition have the same sprites, but the latter game has two extra palettes per character. Bad Mr. Frosty has a red hat and a yellow hat, for example. And completely redone backgrounds.)

Which version is the picture on the right?

Oop. Forgot to mention that. The one on the left is the original Clay Fighter, and the one on the right is from Clay Fighter: Tournament Edition, and also shows the third and fourth palettes.
We'll I'll just continue to rip from the original. I'm not liking the look of that black background of Tournament Edition. I'll only play TE to grab the pallets. Other than the pallets and different backgrounds, are there any other differences?

EDIT: Can someone also explain why the sheet on the site here says the format is x-ms-bmp?

Other than the "Tournament" mode added into the game and the different backgrounds, there really isn't much different, not even any new characters.

And I've fixed the spritesheet, too. Not sure why it turned into a BMP.
RTB, is MVC2 really that easy to rip? If you need help sheeting some, I'll help out.

Well, I've got this much of Tron Bonne's sheet done today using MakaronEX v3.3, the Dreamcast version of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and Cheat Engine (using the addresses in the image posted previously), so yeah. If you wanna try for yourself, you can. Otherwise, I could supply you with AnimGet rips (converted to PNG to save space, obviously) of a character's sprites. You'll have to clean the background yourself, though... and don't use the training stage because of the pure-black background.

But yeah. I'll be working on Tron Bonne's spritesheet every day, and Pocket Ibuki's spritesheet every other day. Might get 'em done at the same time, who knows?
